Professor Dr. Chu Duc Trinh - Principal of the University of Technology - said that the five schools have especially increased their enrollment quotas in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, electronics, semiconductors and automation, but the attraction to the schools has not decreased but has increased the admission scores.
"The standard scores for the information technology industry of some training institutions have decreased, but for top universities such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, the standard scores have still increased. Universities with standard scores are slowing down, in the coming time, they need to drastically improve the quality of training to meet the demand," said Mr. Trinh.
Regarding the data and artificial intelligence industry, he said that the benchmark is increasing, and this is also a strong field for Vietnam in the coming time if this market is well trained and exploited.
According to Mr. Trinh, after the admission ceremony, new students will enter a rigorous training and learning process for 4 years. Students need to persevere in knowledge and skills, but still pay attention to physical training to meet the learning requirements.
He advised new students to love the major they have chosen, even the major they "had to choose", because not all candidates will pass their first choices. They must study independently, creatively and systematically.
"Students should not enter the labor market too early. While still in school, consider this a time to invest in the future. This investment may cause financial hardship for the family, but this is the most effective way to invest. If any student is having too much difficulty, please connect with the school to have appropriate support policies," Mr. Trinh advised.
