The "Proud of the City I Love" Agribank Cup 2025 walking and running race opened on the morning of June 15 with the participation of more than 6,000 city residents.

The "Proud of the City I Love" walking and running race was organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association on the morning of June 15 in the city center, with the support of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) and Nexus Sport Events. This is one of the most exciting activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Participating in the "Proud of the City I Love" walking and running race were Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen and about 6,000 athletes, including the largest participation of journalists ever with about 802 athletes who are journalists, reporters, editors working at Ho Chi Minh City and central press agencies, students of journalism and communication faculties...

The tournament took place in the city center with more than 6,000 participants.

The race includes distances such as 5km, 10km, 21km running and 3.5km walking, starting from Le Loi Avenue (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) and ending in Thu Thiem area (Thu Duc City). The running route passes through many historical landmarks and landscapes of Ho Chi Minh City such as Nguyen Hue Avenue, Thu Ngu Flagpole, Ton Duc Thang Street along the Saigon River, Ba Son Bridge, Thu Thiem...

The total prize value is nearly 400 million VND. In addition to the professional prizes, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to journalists with the best achievements in each distance.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association to organize a photo contest for professional and amateur photographers to award prizes to outstanding works that captured beautiful moments of athletes on beautiful roads right in the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the award ceremony, representatives of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ) and the Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) presented a total of 700 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Agent Orange Victims Fund, to share the difficult lives and illnesses of victims of war.

On the occasion of the "Proud of the City I Love" walking and running race, the Organizing Committee proposed to the Vietnam Record Organization to recognize the record for the walking and running race with the largest number of journalists and people working in the press field participating, with 802 people.
