Sleeping game 'Pokémon Sleep' coming later this month

According to Engadget , it has been 4 years since it was first announced by the Pokémon Company, the company that was very successful with the game Pokémon Go , recently the game Pokémon Sleep has released a brand new game trailer and determined the official release date at the end of July 2023.

Pokémon Sleep isn’t actually a game. It’s a Pokémon-themed sleep tracking app that takes users on a journey with the sleep-loving Pokémon Snorlax, strengthening their bond with the giant creature by… sleeping. More specifically, getting a good night’s sleep increases your score, which also allows Snorlax to ‘suck’ away your tired energy.

In addition, players will have a collection called 'Sleep Style Dex' containing different Pokémon species found through their sleeping patterns. Accordingly, every time the application detects a change in the player's sleep, it will evaluate that sleep style corresponding to which Pokémon in the collection, and so on, the collection will gradually become full after each sleep.

Pokémon Sleep 's sleep tracking capabilities will use your phone's microphone and accelerometer to see how much you toss and turn during your sleep, or whether you snore. Different sleep patterns attract different Pokémon.

The app works independently and does not integrate with any health or sleep tracking apps. However, Pokémon Sleep can be paired with the Pokémon Go Plus wristband, allowing users to track their sleep with the press of a button on the device. The device costs around $30, and Pokémon Sleep will be available for free.
