A large screen in an easily visible corner of a shopping mall displays many photos of historical significance, talking about patriotism, national pride, and love for Hanoi of the Vietnamese people.

A sign on Dai Co Viet Street recreates the image of the radiant faces of soldiers when they returned to take over the capital in 1954.

President Ho Chi Minh's teachings are displayed on large posters at many intersections.

Anywhere on the streets of Hanoi these days, people can see many historical images of Hanoi exactly 70 years ago.
