Special tours, unique festivals, new tourism products
In less than a month, Hanoi will enter a large-scale celebration on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, with events of sacred significance to the whole country.
Not only stopping at military parades, marches or solemn political and social activities, the Capital is breathing new life into the tourism industry to welcome tens of thousands of visitors on the occasion of the great festival.
According to the plan of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, activities will focus on three main groups including improving product quality, tourism services - event organization and communication promotion.

Hanoi City “reshapes” the journey to explore the city with a series of tours to visit historical sites associated with the August Revolution, programs to stimulate inner-city tourism, cuisine and the “Hanoi at night” experience series, activities with their own mark when visitors listen to historical stories and enjoy culinary quintessence.
A highlight not to be missed is the Hanoi Beverage Festival 2025, held for the first time with a theme revolving around the typical drinks of the land of a thousand years of civilization.
From West Lake lotus tea, egg coffee, yellow sticky rice wine to modern variations such as refreshing mocktails, the festival promises to be an interesting stop for both locals and tourists.
At the National Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition held in Dong Anh, a space will be created to display typical OCOP products, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, smart tourism models, new experience tours, etc. This is not only a visual “walk” but also demonstrates the stature and development potential of the Capital in the overall picture of the whole country.
Accelerate communication and comprehensive promotion of Hanoi's image
Along with organizational activities, communication and tourism promotion work is also prioritized by the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
Viral clips, printed publications, digital newsletters, 360-degree videos introducing destinations... are being deployed synchronously, aiming at an image of Hanoi as "friendly - attractive - dynamic - full of historical depth" in the eyes of domestic and international friends.
Not only focusing on the "destination", logistical plans to serve thousands of delegates, international guests and delegations from all over the province are also being implemented.
Meals, accommodation, transportation, food safety, traffic flow, and reception are assigned to specialized units to coordinate and organize.

The Hanoi Youth Union has prepared 72 young volunteers, "friendly ambassadors" who will act as cultural bridges, supporting delegations during their stay and participation in events in Hanoi.
After the pandemic, Hanoi's tourism industry has recovered strongly but still needs a big enough push to break through.
The 80th anniversary is a valuable opportunity as it is not only an occasion to pay tribute to history, but also a golden time for Hanoi to promote its image and elevate its tourism brand from culture, cuisine, heritage to an attractive contemporary lifestyle.
