That is the information in the Plan for organizing Independence Day activities in 2025 issued by the People's Committee of Lai Chau province on July 29.
Independence Day activities are organized to effectively implement the tasks and solutions of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated February 17, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups associated with tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people on preserving and promoting fine traditional cultural identities associated with tourism development.

At the same time, promote the annual tradition of celebrating Independence Day of Than Uyen people in particular and Lai Chau people in general. Thereby, upholding the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude", educating the tradition of patriotism and national pride for the younger generations; contributing to consolidating the belief and strengthening the great national unity of the people of all ethnic groups in the province under the leadership of the Party and State. Strengthening communication and promoting the potential strengths and typical tourism products of Lai Chau to domestic and international tourists; aiming to build and develop Independence Day into an attractive and unique cultural tourism product of Lai Chau province.
Independence Day activities will take place from August 30 to September 2, 2025 with many diverse and attractive programs such as: KOMOMO Than Uyen International Running Race 2025; Nam Pat Fair; "Non nuoc Khoen On" Festival; Organizing ethnic sports competitions; "Huong sac Muong Than" Festival; Exchange program of Thai ethnic culture preservation clubs; Traditional culinary contest of ethnic groups, Banh day pounding competition; Art program to welcome Independence Day and Solidarity Xoe Dance; Exhibition of art photos on the theme of ethnic minorities "Huong sac Lai Chau";...
Accordingly, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee directed and assigned Than Uyen Commune People's Committee to coordinate with provincial departments, branches, People's Committees of communes, wards and related organizations and individuals to organize implementation.
Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee requires that the organization process must have close coordination between departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards; promote the initiative and ownership of ethnic people in cultural activities and cultural preservation activities during the Independence Day; ensure efficiency, safety, and savings; create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for people and tourists during the Independence Day.../.
