Plan to organize the Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture"

Accordingly, the Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" (hereinafter referred to as the Award) aims to recognize and honor the outstanding contributions of collectives, individuals, and teams of journalists to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.

Through the Award, the results and achievements of culture, information, family, sports and tourism are introduced and promoted. At the same time, it is necessary to discover advanced models in the culture, information, family, sports and tourism sector; encourage and motivate all cadres in the sector to join hands and continue to contribute more to the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.

Create conditions for journalists to exchange professional and technical experiences, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and press activities in the fields of culture, information, family, sports and tourism.

Award Name: Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture"

Organizing agency: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee decided to establish a Secretariat to assist, consisting of a Team Leader and members.

The Standing Committee of the Award advised the Chief of Staff of the Organizing Committee to establish a Jury Council, consisting of representatives from: the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Vietnam Journalists Association and prestigious journalists.

Submission deadline: Press works participating in the Award must be published from June 16, 2024 to July 31, 2025. The deadline for submission is August 10, 2025 (according to the postmark).

The contest rules and results are posted on mass media, the Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism: https://bvhttdl.gov.vn; Culture Newspaper: http://baovanhoa.vn; Electronic Information Portal of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Culture and Sports; Department of Tourism of provinces and centrally run cities.

Promulgating the Regulations of the Third National Press Award "For the Cause of Developing Vietnamese Culture"

Preliminary selection: The preliminary round will take place from September 3, 2025 to September 14, 2025. Published and distributed press works submitted to the Award according to regulations will be reviewed and evaluated by the Preliminary Council to select press works that meet the criteria for inclusion in the final round.

Final selection: The final round will take place from September 22, 2025 to September 29, 2025. The Final Round Council, based on the selection results of the Preliminary Round Council, will evaluate, appraise, and select the best works to submit to the Organizing Committee to decide on the winning work and the awarded unit.

The selection of outstanding works for awards does not necessarily require each type of press to consider the sufficient number of first, second, third and consolation prizes according to the award structure.

Announcement and award ceremony: The announcement and award ceremony of the Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" is expected to be held in Hanoi on October 30, 2025.

The plan also assigns specific tasks to agencies and units under the Ministry to implement in accordance with regulations.
