In Hanoi , Van Phuc silk village (also known as Ha Dong silk village) is one of the famous silk weaving villages. Coming here, visitors cannot miss the experience of checking in on the colorful umbrella road, visiting the ancient Van Phuc pagoda, taking photos on the mural wall, admiring and shopping for silk products.

In addition, visitors can also visit the weaving and dyeing workshops located behind the Van Phuc silk market to learn about the silk weaving process, directly interact with craftsmen or try to experience some stages of product production. Although there are currently many types of industrial silk that do not guarantee quality being smuggled in, affecting the reputation and quality of Van Phuc silk, the people here are still trying and taking care to create the best products and reaffirm their position.

Mr. Pham Khac Ha, a resident of Van Phuc silk village (Ha Dong district, Hanoi) shared about the raw materials used to make Van silk - a famous traditional silk in Van Phuc village: "The raw materials are completely natural fibers and are domestic products, so it has great professional and cultural value".

Along with Van Phuc silk village in Ha Dong district, Bat Trang traditional pottery village in Gia Lam district is also cleverly taking advantage of its existing advantages to exploit tourism potential with initial successes. Currently, besides the concern of preserving the traditional craft passed down from their ancestors, Bat Trang people also have another concern: how to make their village a favorite destination for tourists from near and far.

Young artisan Nguyen Tuan Minh expressed: "We must have places for young people to experience pottery and there must be cultural works for tourists and friends to visit and check-in. Those places are ancient villages, communal houses and now there is the Center for the Essence of Vietnamese Craft Villages".

The everlasting values of Bat Trang pottery village have been subtly introduced at Bat Trang Pottery Museum and the Center for the Essence of Vietnamese Craft Villages. After visiting here, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Doc, a tourist from Binh Dinh province, was moved to write in his guestbook: "Nga Son mats, Bat Trang bricks, the traditional beauty of the pottery village. I really appreciate it and hope that the traditional cultural beauty of this pottery village will last forever."

In addition to applying technology to product promotion, telling the story of craft village culture to tourists is also a good and creative way. Developing tourism associated with preserving traditional cultural identity will be the premise for each craft village in the capital to aim for, in harmony with the pace of life of the times.

VOV.VN - A unique experiential tourism product associated with the values of heritage - relics and craft villages along the "South Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Road" tourist route is being developed by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with localities and businesses in Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin and Phu Xuyen districts.
