In Long Khanh, Xuan Loc, Thong Nhat, Vinh Cuu, etc., gardeners have completed landscaping and creating miniatures. Many eco-garden destinations also provide food and accommodation services to meet the needs of tourists visiting the gardens.

Early fruit season

Some farmers in the eco -tourism village of Binh Loc commune (Long Khanh city) said that this year, the rambutan season came earlier than usual and was divided into 3 fruiting periods. Some gardens opened their doors to welcome visitors early such as: Ut Tieu garden, Di Hai garden, Chu Loc La garden, Long Khanh hometown... welcomed visitors from the occasion of April 30th.

Mr. Tran Quoc Phong, owner of Ut Tieu fruit garden, one of the famous destinations in Binh Loc commune, said that this year, due to the weather, the fruit gardens have almost changed. Rambutan bears fruit early and has 3 peak seasons: the first season from late April to around May 20, the second season around the first 10 days of June and the third season is the main season from around mid-June to August. With this change, when coming to Ut Tieu garden, even if it is not the time when the fruit is ripe, visitors can still experience fruit picking, take pictures and enjoy cuisine right in the cool green space of the fruit garden.

Dong Nai is known as the fruit capital of the Southeast region. Some of the province's fruits have been granted geographical indications such as Tan Trieu grapefruit and Long Khanh rambutan.

In contrast to the early fruiting change of rambutan, mangosteen trees bring worries to garden owners. According to some gardeners, during the Lunar New Year, when the mangosteen trees were blooming, there were quite heavy unseasonal rains that affected the ability to set fruit. It is estimated that this year's mangosteen yield may decrease by 40-60% compared to the previous season, making it difficult for gardeners to find gardens to connect with tours to serve tourists.

In Xuan Loc district, some fruit gardens have welcomed visitors, serving local specialty fruits such as: Green durian garden (Xuan Tam commune), Xuan Bac commune fruit garden eco-tourism cooperative group...

Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, owner of the Green Durian Garden destination (Xuan Tam commune), shared that the Green Durian Garden is a new destination launched in May 2025. This is the second fruit garden in Xuan Loc that Mr. Huy has invested in for tourism. With the Green Durian Garden, Mr. Huy also cooperates with clean fruit gardens in the area to serve visitors. In addition, Mr. Huy is also a distribution and consumption channel for clean agricultural products, serving the majority of customers in Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Huy shared: “Visitors to the Green Durian Garden will be able to visit clean fruit gardens such as durian, rambutan, mangosteen... and enjoy country dishes. Especially dishes made from local fruits such as green durian stewed with pork and chicken; steamed durian with pandan leaves; mangosteen salad... In addition to visiting the garden, visitors can also swim in the swimming pool right in the poetic garden grounds.”

Promoting Dong Nai agricultural products

The province is preparing to organize the Dong Nai Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week (VHDLAT) 2025, scheduled to take place from June 22 to 24, at Duong Tu Giang Park, Tan Mai Ward, Bien Hoa City. With the theme "Dong Nai Tourism - to the land of sweet fruits", the Dong Nai Culture, Tourism and Cuisine Week 2025 promises to bring visitors interesting experiences and enjoyment of specialty fruits in season. Among them are fruits granted geographical indications, fruits grown organically, meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards such as durian, rambutan, mangosteen, Tan Trieu grapefruit, etc.

Mr. Van Thanh Toan, Head of the Xuan Bac Commune Fruit Garden Ecotourism Cooperative Group, said that this year, the cooperative group has connected with Thai Loan Tourism Company Limited (Bien Hoa City) to set up a number of booths promoting clean agricultural products at the province's VHDLAT Week event. According to Mr. Toan, farmers are very happy to have the opportunity to introduce and promote agricultural products. Many people expect this to be one of the effective consumption channels for farmers, bringing both economic values and diversifying tourism products, promoting local specialties.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Trang, Director of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, said that this year, VHDLAT Week will create a fruit space with special fruits of Dong Nai. This is an opportunity for gardeners to promote destinations, introduce Dong Nai agricultural products, and encourage travel agencies in the province to introduce tours and tourist routes during the fruit season as well as in the summer of 2025. In addition to fruit stalls, the Organizing Committee of VHDLAT Week also invited professional chefs from the Dong Nai Chefs Association to prepare dishes from local fruits to serve tourists.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Thi Ngoc Loan said that VHDLAT Week is an annual tourism stimulus activity to promote Dong Nai tourism with the message "Dong Nai - Come to feel". Ms. Loan hopes that this year's VHDLAT Week will attract tourists, honor and promote the culture, tourism potential, traditional beauty, unique culinary quintessence of Dong Nai, in which fruit specialties stand out. This is also an activity aimed at cultural and tourism events, introducing, promoting, stimulating, contributing to attracting tourists to Dong Nai. Ms. Loan hopes that through this event, culinary businesses, tourist areas and spots, travel agencies inside and outside the province will have the opportunity to meet, exchange, introduce the potential for developing the tourism brand of the unit; promote destinations, introduce tours, tourist routes, discount programs, promotions and introduce unique cuisine.
