Gasoline prices are expected to increase across the board in this week's adjustment session.

It is forecasted that in this week's adjustment session, the price of RON 95 - III gasoline will increase by about 270 VND/liter; E5 RON 92 - II gasoline will increase by about 190 VND/liter.

According to a survey at 11:28 a.m. on August 19 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price decreased by 0.46 USD/barrel (down 0.73%), to 62.24 USD/barrel. Brent oil price decreased by 0.45 USD/barrel (down 0.68%), to 66.15 USD/barrel.

Oil prices fell in morning trading on Tuesday as market participants anticipated trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the world oil market in the last week's operating period (from August 7, 2025 to August 13, 2025) was affected by the following main factors: The United States postponed the application of higher tax policies on imported goods from China; The US President and the Russian President are expected to meet to discuss ending the conflict in Ukraine; OPEC+ decided to increase oil production in September; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... The above factors have caused the world oil price in recent days to have a general downward trend.

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail petroleum prices may be adjusted in opposite directions, with gasoline prices increasing and oil prices decreasing.

Of which, the price of RON 95-III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 270 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline will increase by about 190 VND/liter; and Diesel oil will decrease by about 260 VND/liter.
