On August 24 and 25, the Long Dien Commune Party Committee (An Giang Province) held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Speaking at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong acknowledged, commended and congratulated the important achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Long Dien commune achieved in the past term.

The Party Committee of the commune has led the implementation of 19/19 targets, achieving and exceeding the resolution, notably the average income per capita reaching 86.8 million VND (102.12% of the resolution); the rate of universal health insurance reaching 95.06% (105.62% of the resolution); the poverty rate reduced to 0.91%.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Long Dien Commune Party Congress determined the goal of building a lean, strong, effective, efficient and effective Party and political system; promoting the combined strength of the great national unity bloc. The Party Committee of the commune has set out 17 main targets, along with 3 breakthroughs to develop Long Dien commune, striving to become a commune with rapid development in all fields and a new rural commune, a modern new rural commune.

Comrade Cu Minh Trong was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Long Dien Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
