Information from the People's Committee of Ba Long commune, Quang Tri province said that, sharing the joy of merging the two communes of Trieu Nguyen and Ba Long into the new commune of Ba Long on July 1, the young couple Nguyen Van Hien (Xuan Lam village, old Trieu Nguyen commune) and Ho Thi Linh (Ha Luong village, old Ba Long commune) went to the commune's Public Administration Service Center to register their marriage.

“After a long time of getting to know each other, we decided to get married and chose the date of marriage registration to be the day the new commune came into operation, July 1st. This is a very special moment for the people of Ba Long in general and my wife and I in particular when the two old communes of Trieu Nguyen and Ba Long became “one family”. My wife and I will forever remember this beautiful moment so that we can proudly tell our relatives and children about our wedding anniversary,” Mr. Hien shared openly.

On Mr. Hien and Ms. Linh's special day, they also had the active support of the commune leaders and staff of the Public Administration Service Center. The Chairman of Ba Long Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Huu Ninh, personally guided the procedures and gave the young couple a marriage certificate.

Mr. Ninh said: “This is the first couple to register their marriage in the new Ba Long commune.
