On July 10, leaders of the Port Management Board and the Quang Ngai Inland Waterways Port Authority said that since the beginning of the summer vacation, the number of passengers traveling on the Sa Ky - Ly Son route has increased dramatically with an average of more than 1,000 passengers per day.

On average, the high-speed boat fleet operates 10-15 trips per day to transport thousands of passengers to visit Ly Son Island.

Specifically, from June 1 to July 10, Sa Ky port station welcomed and served nearly 40,000 passengers from the mainland visiting Ly Son island, an increase of 6.5% over the same period in 2023, with an average of over 1,000 passengers per day, with 10-15 high-speed trains operating continuously.

The leaders of the Port Management Board and the Quang Ngai Inland Waterways Port Authority said that due to the increase in the number of passengers traveling on the route in the early summer of 2024, in order to meet the service needs at the port and make it convenient for people to travel, the unit proactively coordinated with relevant agencies and passenger transport businesses on the route to develop a reasonable train schedule.
