Workers of the Ngoc Lac - Lang Chanh Regional Power Management Team inspect, repair and replace medium voltage line grounding system.
The head of the Ngoc Lac - Lang Chanh Power Company, Le Van Dinh, said: With the characteristics of the power grid spread across the area, the terrain is divided by forests, rivers, and mountains, causing many difficulties in the management, operation, and protection of the power grid safety corridor. Through statistics and monitoring, the incidents causing widespread power outages in the area are mostly due to trees violating the medium-voltage power grid corridor. To ensure the safety of the power grid safety corridor, from the beginning of 2025, the unit has proactively coordinated with relevant sectors and local authorities to focus on propaganda and mobilizing people, organizations, businesses, and students to strictly comply with the provisions of the law on ensuring the safety of the power grid corridor when using electricity and constructing civil works. Clearing violations of the power grid safety corridor aims to reduce power outages and potential risks affecting the safety of people's lives and property.
Along with that, the unit regularly inspects the corridor to promptly detect and prevent cases of construction works violating the distance of the grid protection corridor, clearing tree branches in the safety corridor and trees outside the corridor that are at risk of causing incidents to the grid safety. For dangerous points, where violations are likely to occur, the unit organizes the installation of warning signs, coordinates with local authorities to strengthen the dissemination of legal regulations on grid safety. Review and handle construction sites that violate the corridor, points that violate the phase-to-ground distance, send notices to localities and install safety warning signs; cut down trees inside and outside the corridor to ensure safe operation; focus on regular repair of the grid; replace transformers operating at full load and overload; perform phase balancing on the low-voltage grid, rotate the position of low-voltage compensation capacitors to ensure stable power supply, improve voltage quality for customers, and reduce low-voltage grid losses. At the same time, instruct people on how to use electricity when there is an accident, such as: do not use electrical equipment that does not meet safety standards and conditions; do not use bare wires as electrical wires in the house; when an electrical accident occurs, immediately cut off the power, avoid letting the wires touch the floor, or flooded areas...
As a result, from the beginning of 2025 to present, the Ngoc Lac - Lang Chanh Regional Power Management Team has handled 7,000 trees inside and outside the corridor that are at risk of endangering the safety of the power grid corridor; organized minor repairs and handled 130 medium-voltage line grounding sets, 15 lightning arresters to enhance the lightning protection capacity of the line; replaced more than 400 insulators, handled the supply and supply locations, ensuring safe and effective power supply during the rainy and stormy season.
