Innovation and digital transformation in commune-level government

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 1, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) organized a training course on state management of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation for Chairmen of People's Committees at the commune level in the area. The program aims to implement Plan No. 262/KH-UBND dated June 16, 2025 of the City People's Committee on the implementation of the conversion of all activities of state administrative agencies to the digital space, ensuring the operation of two-level government.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, presented the main and new contents on the orientation of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

The conference was organized to equip leaders of the People's Committees at the commune and ward levels with basic knowledge and skills on state management in the fields of science , technology, innovation and digital transformation. Thereby, helping localities grasp trends, policies and methods of implementing programs and plans to apply science and technology and digital transformation in management and operation activities. At the same time, it creates a unified awareness, enhances management and operation capacity and the ability to apply technology in administrative reform and serve people and businesses at the grassroots level.

Reporting on the orientation of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in line with the new management and administration model, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Xuan Son discussed some main contents on: Overview of new points on the perspective of science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation; Scientific research and technology development; Promoting innovation in enterprises and the economy ; Developing potential for science, technology and innovation; Developing digital transformation; Developing smart cities and some proposals and recommendations.

At the training conference, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology also introduced and guided local leaders on the work of operating and managing civil servants as well as the operation and implementation of activities related to documents and administrative procedures... on the Hue-S platform. In particular, the Department of Science and Technology hopes that leaders of the People's Committees of wards and communes need to operate well two important digital platforms in the immediate future: Task monitoring (online monitoring to serve state management) and digital reporting, to ensure the operation of local governments at two levels is effective, smooth and in accordance with regulations.
