On the afternoon of August 2, many athletes from all over came to Quang Tri General Museum (Dong Hoi Ward, Quang Tri Province) to register, receive bib numbers and race kits, and prepare to participate in the Quang Tri International Marathon - Camel Cup 2025.

The tournament, organized by Dan Tri Newspaper in collaboration with Bolt Event, attracted thousands of runners from both within and outside the country, promising to bring a vibrant sporting atmosphere right in the heroic land of Quang Tri.

Inside the bib and race kit receiving area, many athletes waited for their turn to receive their registration numbers and items from the organizing committee. The Quang Tri International Marathon – Camel Cup 2025 took place with the following competition distances: 5km; 10km; 21km; 42km.

Mr. Kseniia (Russian, currently living in Vietnam) shared: “I live in Da Nang , so I feel very lucky that the tournament is held in Quang Tri, a place near where I live.
Everything here is great, from the professional organization, reasonable transition area, well-arranged water stations and food. I have participated in many sports events in other countries, and I find that this Aqua Warriors event is of very high quality, not inferior to any international event.”

Ms. Salnikov (Mr. Kseniia's wife) shared: "In the area where we live, there is also a large community of foreign sports lovers living and working in Vietnam. I really hope they will soon know about this tournament to participate, and my husband and I will definitely introduce it to spread the information."
She added that her husband overcame the harsh hot weather of Quang Tri to complete the competition excellently, winning 3rd place in the 30-54 age group in the Olympic Aqua Warriors category in the tournament that took place this morning.
“I'm really proud of him,” said Salnikov.

Outside the bib receiving area, many athletes arrived early to take pictures and find their names on the registration board.

Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Quynh (Dong Hoi, Quang Tri) is new to the 10km distance and has completed it three times in previous competitions. For her, each race is a time to overcome her own limits, a small but meaningful step on the journey of training and maturing with running.

“As a native of Quang Tri, I often participate in races in the southern region. Now that there is a professional tournament right in my hometown, I feel extremely excited and proud. I hope that this positive energy will spread, so that many people will boldly step out of their comfort zone.”

On the occasion of participating in the race, Mr. Ho Huy Hau (64 years old) and two friends traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Quang Tri a week in advance to combine competition, sightseeing and relaxation. Mr. Hau said that he started exercising two years ago and currently only runs 21km. For him, maintaining regular training and participating in grassroots races is a joy, and also a way to maintain health in old age.
“At this age, I don’t put too much emphasis on achievements. Running helps me eat well, sleep well, and feel refreshed. The most important thing is that I still feel healthy and can still run, so I’m happy,” he shared.
