Unique Gau Tao festival of Mong people in Yen Bai

Mr. Vu Le Chung Anh - Chairman of Tram Tau District People's Committee, Yen Bai Province said: The Mong ethnic Gau Tao Festival is held annually, attracting a large number of friends, tourists, and people of all ethnic groups inside and outside the province. The festival includes a ceremony and a festival with rich and diverse content, imbued with the Mong ethnic cultural identity. The ceremony includes the ritual of burning incense and praying to the gods for permission to hold the festival in front of the pole. The festival includes activities such as people participating in the Khen dance, throwing Pao, jumping Pao rope, dragon hatching eggs, blindfolded goat catching, pushing sticks, playing tops, singing pipes, love songs, jew's harp, leaf trumpet, and playing the two-stringed fiddle.
