To retain employees, many businesses have proactively developed attractive compensation policies such as salary increases, bonuses, housing support, travel expenses, and quality shift meals.
Some units such as Honda Vietnam , Toyota Vietnam, Piaggio Vietnam... are always at the forefront in ensuring the rights of workers. In particular, on holidays and Tet, many businesses also give gifts and bonuses; at the end of the year, they support bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet. These practical activities not only create long-term motivation for workers but also demonstrate the humanity and social responsibility of the business.
Not only ensuring income, many businesses also care about the health and spiritual life of their employees. Regular health check-up programs, occupational safety training, sports , cultural and tourism activities are regularly implemented.
Grassroots trade unions in many enterprises play an active role in protecting workers' rights, organizing regular dialogues between employers and workers, thereby promptly resolving problems and building harmonious and stable labor relations.
Toyota Motor Vietnam (TMV) is not only known as a leading automobile manufacturer, but also a pioneer in taking care of workers' lives. With the motto "People are the core element of sustainable development", TMV has invested in building a modern factory, meeting labor safety and environmental standards; regularly organizing professional training courses, skills and labor safety; fully implementing insurance policies according to the law, and at the same time implementing many outstanding welfare policies such as: 24-hour accident insurance for all employees, periodic health check-ups, shift change allowance, birthday regime, annual travel support, etc.
The company also maintains cultural and sports activities such as: Internal football tournament, family day, creative contest... to create a healthy playground, increase cohesion, help employees regenerate energy and share thoughts and aspirations with the management.
At the same time, TMV actively implements social responsibilities, helping employees feel more proud of their contributions. In the period of 2015 - 2024, the total budget the company spent on community activities reached nearly 237 billion VND. Notable programs include giving Tet gifts to policy households and disadvantaged children in Vinh Phuc; donating 1.6 billion VND to support northern provinces affected by storm Yagi; building schools in mountainous areas; renovating toilets and providing clean water to schools in remote areas; greening schools through the program "Toyota joins hands to green schools"; donating playgrounds recycled from tires in the program "Second Journey of Tires" ...
In the Project "Improving the lives of workers and laborers in industrial parks (IPs) and industrial clusters in the province for the period 2022 - 2026" of the province, it is determined that taking care of workers' lives is a key factor, contributing to improving the efficiency of enterprises' operations and promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
To achieve this goal, in 2024, the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union directed and guided the grassroots Trade Union to effectively implement the work of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; signed a cooperation agreement on the program "Welfare of union members and workers" with 4 enterprises; organized visits and provided emergency support to 38 union members with serious illnesses.
Grassroots unions have also proactively coordinated with businesses to allocate a total budget of VND 45 billion to organize activities to care for the spiritual life, give gifts and support to more than 67,000 union members and workers. Since the beginning of 2025, the province has started 4 social housing projects according to Decision No. 338 of the Prime Minister approving the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030".
Taking care of employees is not only a responsibility but also a sustainable development strategy of enterprises. It is the practical attention of all levels and sectors that has helped enterprises in the province improve their competitiveness, build brand image and attract high-quality human resources.
