Agribank Lang Son Youth Union: Support farmers in Tu Doan commune, Loc Binh district to consume 3 tons of watermelon

- On June 19, the Youth Union of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, provincial branch ( Agribank Lang Son) organized the "2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign" to support the consumption of watermelons of farmers in Tu Doan commune, Loc Binh district.

Accordingly, the Youth Union of Agribank Lang Son called on all staff and members in the entire branch to respond and support the consumption of watermelons for the people; arranged for members to help people harvest watermelons in the fields and transport them to the consumption location at a selling price of 70,000 VND/2 fruits, each watermelon weighing from 3 - 4kg. During the program, the youth union members supported the consumption of 3 tons of watermelons for the households of Mr. Lanh Van Thiet, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong and Mr. Hoang Van Khanh in Ban Moi 1 village, Tu Doan commune, Loc Binh district.

Watermelon is a crop that has been grown by people for many years in Loc Binh district. However, people currently produce melons without a close link from production to consumption, leading to unstable prices for this year's watermelon crop. Introducing and supporting the consumption of watermelons for people in Tu Doan commune, Loc Binh district is a meaningful and practical activity, promoting the pioneering role for the community of Agribank Lang Son Youth Union. Thereby, contributing to encouraging the spirit and joining hands to consume agricultural products for farmers growing watermelons in the area.
