Green Economy Forum 2023 aims for sustainability

The Green Economy Forum will be organized in collaboration with the European Group comprising the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, the EuroCham Green Growth Sector Subcommittee (European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam), 9 European business associations under EuroCham Vietnam and European countries.

The event includes sustainability dialogues, high-level plenary sessions and thematic panels. The forum brings together leading industry leaders, policy makers and sustainability policy advocates from Europe and Vietnam.

Emphasizing the importance of the Green Economy Forum at a press conference on September 28, Ambassador Julien Guerrier, Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, said that it is a symbol of the continuous cooperation efforts between Europe and Vietnam.

He believes that such initiatives will pave the way for a successful green transition, demonstrating the strength of cooperation between Europe and Vietnam.

Deputy Ambassador Christoph Prommersberger, Embassy of the Netherlands in Vietnam, emphasized Vietnam's sustainability goals by 2050. Drawing on experience from Europe, he pointed out the challenges in turning commitments into results.

The Deputy Ambassador also highlighted the key role of the business community in the green transition, especially when it comes to implementing new EU regulations, such as the carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM).

In 2023, the Green Economy Forum 2023 is introduced with many highlights such as: Sharing practical knowledge, exploring case studies from pioneers in sustainable development, delving into successes, challenges and innovative solutions, benefiting from the insights of more than 30 industry experts, including representatives from famous multinational corporations such as BNP Paribas, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Equinor, HSBC, Airbus, EDPR...
