Specifically, the Academy of Journalism and Communication has set a general minimum score requirement for candidates applying for admission under all admission methods, which is to have an average score of 6.5 or higher in Math, Literature, Foreign Language, and History in grades 10, 11, and 12 of high school.
Conduct in grades 10, 11 and 12 of high school is rated as Good or higher.
In addition, the admission method based on high school graduation exam results:
- For majors/specializations in group 1, group 3 and group 4 (with main subject combinations multiplied by coefficient 2): The total score of 3 subjects multiplied by the coefficient has a floor score of 25 points.
- For majors/specializations in group 2: The total score of 3 subjects without coefficient has a floor score of 18 points.
This score includes the exam score according to the admission combination, priority score for subjects and regions.
For combined admission method:
- Candidates applying for combined admission to Journalism and Publishing in group 1: Average score of 6 semesters of Literature at high school level is 7 or higher.
- Candidates applying for admission by combination method to majors/specializations in group 4, Sociology in group 2, Publishing, Editing and Publishing major in group 1: Average score of 6 semesters of English at high school level is 7 or higher.
Conversion table of equivalent benchmark scores between methods
The conversion principle of the Academy of Journalism and Communication is that the admission scores of all admission methods (except direct admission and priority admission) are converted to a 30-point scale for majors in group 2 and converted to a 40-point scale for majors in groups 1, 3 and 4.

Candidates are responsible for the conditions of submitting academic records and conduct according to the regulations of the Academy. In case the candidate achieves the admission score but does not meet the requirements of the conditions of submitting records, the Academy will not recognize the admission.
