Minimum admission score for Medical and Pharmaceutical schools is only 17-22

The minimum admission score for medical and pharmaceutical universities nationwide this year is from 17-22 points, a sharp decrease compared to previous years.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced the minimum admission score from 17-22 points, a decrease of 2 points compared to last year.

Specifically, the Medicine and Dentistry majors have the highest minimum score of 22 points. The Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy majors both receive applications from 19 points, the remaining majors take 17 points. This is the total score of 3 subjects in the admission combination including priority points (not including bonus points).

This year, the minimum score for admission to Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy is 17 points, the highest is 20.5 points. Of which, the Medicine and Dentistry majors are considered from 20.5 points. Next are the two majors of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy, both accepting applications from 19 points. The remaining majors take 17 points. This level is equivalent to the threshold to ensure input quality for the Health sector, recently announced by the Ministry of Education and Training .

At Nguyen Tat Thanh University, with the admission method based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam, the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry has the highest minimum score of 20.5 points. The Faculty of Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine has a minimum score of 19 points, the Faculty of Preventive Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, and Rehabilitation Technology all have a minimum score of 17 points.

The school notes that the floor score is the minimum score of all combinations of 3 exams/subjects, without multiplying the coefficient and regardless of the results of candidates studying the 2006 or 2018 program.

Hong Bang International University announced the minimum score according to each admission method. Of which, the highest minimum score for Medicine and Dentistry is 20.5 points (based on high school graduation exam scores), 21 points (based on combined scores), and 22.25 points (based on academic records).

Pharmacy and Traditional Medicine majors have scores ranging from 19-20.5 points depending on the method. Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Midwifery, Rehabilitation Technology, and Medical Imaging Technology all have a floor score of 17-18.5 points.

The Department of Nutrition and Public Health is not bound by the admission threshold according to regulations, so the school accepts applications from 15 points or more.

The minimum score for admission based on the 2025 high school graduation exam results of Nam Can Tho University is from 15 to 20.5 points. Of which, the Medicine and Dentistry majors have the highest minimum score of 20.5 points.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology applies a minimum score of 19 for Pharmacy and 17 for Nursing and Medical Laboratory Technology.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also applies a floor score of 19 points for the school's only major in the health field, Pharmacy.

Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy announces the threshold for ensuring input quality according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Similar to the health sector, in terms of using high school graduation exam scores, Phenikaa University also applies the input quality assurance threshold according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The threshold to ensure input quality for the Medicine and Pharmacy group in 2025, as announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, is from 17-20.5 points, a decrease of 2 points compared to last year.

Accordingly, the Medicine and Dentistry majors have the highest minimum score of 20.5 points. The Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy majors are behind with 19 points. The remaining majors include: Nursing, Preventive Medicine, Midwifery, Dental Prosthetics, Medical Testing, Medical Imaging; and Rehabilitation with a minimum score of 19 points.
