The special art program "Memories of Legends" took place on the evening of July 23, in Hanoi .

The event was organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association in coordination with relevant units, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and important historical and political events of the country in 2025.

Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong attended the program.

Also attending were Party Central Committee members, leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and agencies; veteran revolutionaries, representatives of policy families...

In his welcoming speech, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Nguyen Duc Loi affirmed: "Memories of Legends" is not only an artistic event, but also a respectful incense offering, a deep gratitude from today's generations to the predecessors, the outstanding children of the nation who devoted their youth, blood and life to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and to the happiness of the people.

The history of the Vietnamese people is an immortal epic, written with an iron will, passionate patriotism and heroic sacrifice. Millions of Vietnamese people have fallen or suffered lifelong disabilities so that we can have a peaceful and free life like today. Every inch of our homeland, every road and river is soaked with the sweat, tears and blood of heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and those who have contributed to the revolution. The contributions of previous generations will forever be engraved in the history of the country and in the hearts of each of us, in accordance with the beautiful morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of our nation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, in the heroic flow of history, there is a force that does not directly hold guns on the front line, but is the pioneer soldier on the ideological-cultural front - the revolutionary journalists. These are the people who have not feared danger, rolling around all the battlefields, from deep forests to fierce trenches, from imperialist prisons to temporarily occupied areas.

They are the ones holding pens, cameras, and camcorders, overcoming countless hardships and dangers to record every historical moment, every heroic example, every story about the indomitable will of our army and people. They use their pens and realistic frames to convey the Party's guidelines, call for patriotism, and encourage the will to fight... Many of them have remained forever on the battlefield, leaving behind a part of their blood and bones, a part of their lives. They are silent heroes, those who have used their will and intelligence to contribute to writing the epic of independence and freedom.

The sacrifices of previous generations are the motivation for today's generation to constantly strive. For journalists today, it is also a guideline for professional ethics, for the spirit of dedication to the truth, for the benefit of the country and the people.

"Memories of Legends" is divided into two parts: Part 1 "The people who wrote the legend" recalls the heroic years of the nation, when millions of Vietnamese people were ready to sacrifice to protect every inch of their homeland. Stories, images, excerpts from documents and teachings of President Ho Chi Minh about the merits of heroic martyrs are recreated with emotion.

Part 2 "Letter to the living" is a message to today's generation, those who are living in peace, independence and pride, awakening patriotism and arousing the will to contribute in each citizen, especially the young generation.

Immortal songs that have stood the test of time, such as "Vietnam's Posture," "Country," "Singing About You," "Red Flower Color," "Unforgettable Song," "The Road We Walk," "Far Away Land," "Candle of Gratitude" performed by artists such as People's Artist Thanh Lam, People's Artist Thanh Nhan, Dong Hung, Quang Ha, Pham Thu Ha, and the Time Stream group... bring the audience back to life sacred moments, moving stories about the noble sacrifices, courage, and noble ideals of generations of fathers and brothers.

Through the program, it has demonstrated the people's trust in the Party's leadership and the path of innovation that our Party has chosen; ignited the people's pride in the achievements of the country's innovation initiated and led by our Party; strengthened and consolidated the great national unity, encouraged all classes of people to unanimously overcome difficulties, seize opportunities, strive to realize the strategic goals of the Vietnamese revolution, bringing the country into a new era - the era of national advancement./.
