On the morning of August 26, at Ariyana International Convention Palace (Da Nang), HorecFex Vietnam 2025 officially opened, opening the largest series of exhibitions and forums in Vietnam for the Hotel - Restaurant - Food Service (HORECA) industry.
Taking place over two days (August 26-27), HorecFex Vietnam 2025 brings together more than 3,500 delegates including leaders of management agencies, international experts, investors and more than 500 leading enterprises.
With more than 55 in-depth discussion sessions and a series of technology experience activities, the event continues to affirm its role as the most prestigious annual forum of the HORECA industry in Vietnam.
Da Nang - Center of connection and trend leadership
The opening ceremony was attended by senior leaders and industry management agencies, including Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh - Director of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism , and representatives of departments, branches, sectors and professional associations nationwide.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh said that in the Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report (TTDI) 2024, Vietnam Tourism was ranked 59/199 countries and territories.
This result reflects both remarkable efforts and important tasks ahead: investing in tourism development, improving infrastructure, promoting digital transformation and applying science and technology.
“With the gathering of domestic and international speakers and leading businesses in the industry, HorecFex Vietnam 2025 will be a forum for connecting, sharing experiences and creating practical solutions to enhance competitiveness, bringing Vietnamese tourism to a breakthrough in the new era,” Mr. Khanh emphasized.
Representing the host city, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed: "Da Nang currently has outstanding advantages with a synchronous infrastructure system, tourism services and many high-class accommodation facilities. Organizing HorecFex 2025 not only enhances the destination brand, but also opens up opportunities for international connection and cooperation, aiming at the goal of sustainable tourism development."
According to experts, the event being held in Da Nang has strategic significance, contributing to affirming the city's position as a leading conference and exhibition center in the region, while balancing the role of leading the tourism industry with Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Impressive scale - New trend for HORECA industry
With the theme “The Way Forward”, HorecFex 2025 brings together a multi-dimensional forum, bringing together more than 90 speakers and guests from 20 countries. Notably, 40% of the speakers are female and 40% are from abroad, reflecting the diversity and inclusiveness that the organizers aim for.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh - Chairman of HorecFex Vietnam shared: “We are proud that the event, entering its second year, has had a strong attraction, becoming a place to update the latest knowledge and trends of the industry. This is also the foundation for us to build a program for 2026 with many new highlights.”
The highlight of HorecFex 2025 is the technology exhibition area with a total value of displayed equipment of up to 42 billion VND - a number considered the largest ever in the HORECA industry in Vietnam. Not only introducing advanced management and operation solutions, the exhibition also creates opportunities for direct connection between businesses and investors and international partners.
Ms. Do Thi Hong Xoan - President of the Vietnam Hotel Association emphasized three pillars of the hotel industry in the coming period, including: comprehensive digital transformation, sustainable development associated with responsible tourism, and redefining customer experience.
According to Ms. Xoan, these are inevitable trends for the Vietnamese hotel and tourism industry to maintain its competitiveness and keep pace with global changes.
Sustainable development motivation for Vietnam tourism
HorecFex 2025 is held at a special time - the final year of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021 - 2025). The event is not only a place to share management experiences, but also acts as a bridge between businesses, management agencies and international experts, promoting practical initiatives and solutions.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed 10.6 million international visitors, served 77.5 million domestic visitors, with total tourism revenue reaching 518 trillion VND.
These impressive figures require the tourism and hospitality industry to make breakthroughs, and HorecFex is expected to be an important boost, contributing to improving service quality and visitor experience.
Together with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the task of promoting tourism and effectively exploiting the key tourist season, HorecFex Vietnam 2025 becomes a testament to the efforts to connect with reality, promote the sustainable development of Vietnam tourism, thereby contributing positively to the socio-economic growth of the whole country.
