To boost the spirits of people on their journey home, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province, along with socio-political organizations, with the support of La Vie Company Limited and philanthropists, organized a "Loving Stop", giving free drinks and cakes to passersby.
From early morning, union members, youth, women's union members, and farmers were present to transport and carefully prepare mineral water and cakes, and hand them out to the people, with the hope of helping them to be less tired, continue their journey safely, and enjoy the joy of reunion.
Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long An Ward, President of the Women's Union of Long An Ward Tran Thi Phuong Uyen shared: "On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio -political organizations of Long An Ward mobilized about 5,000 bottles of water and 300 portions of cakes to support people on their way home. We wish to contribute a small part, accompanying people on the occasion of Independence Day".
Not only sharing material things, small gifts also contain the heart of the whole community sent to people far from home.
Huynh Hoai Vu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Binh Cu 1 Ward, Long An Ward, said: “Although the weather this morning was unfavorable, with heavy rain, all forces were ready. The water and cakes, although not of great value, were the sentiments we wanted to convey to the people.”
For the people, each bottle of water and cake on the long journey brings joy and motivation. Ms. Bành Thị Kim Có (from An Giang ) said: “I started going back to my hometown at 6am, the distance was quite far, so on the way there were water and cake distribution points like this, I felt very happy and warm. Seeing young people standing in the rain, handing out gifts to passersby, I felt the kindness and care of the local people for the people”.
It is known that the program will give 300 boxes of La Vie water and 600 cakes to people in 2 phases: on August 30 and the afternoon of September 2 at the intersection of Highway 1 - Hung Vuong (extended) bypass, with a total cost of more than 30 million VND.
“The affectionate stop” has become a familiar address, providing energy for people every time they return home to celebrate the holidays. With the affection given, Tay Ninh once again accompanies the people, creating truly fulfilling holidays./.
