Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane shined at the right time to help the Three Lions escape spectacularly to win a ticket to the quarter-finals.
Immediately after the match ended, Slovakia's head coach Francesco Calzona ran onto the field to talk to referee Umut Meler.
As he approached, Declan Rice waved his hand to signal Mr Calzona not to argue with the judge.
The Slovakian captain responded by pushing Rice away, before another member of the coaching staff continued to push the man creating tension.
The Arsenal midfielder was furious and ready to fight. However, reserve goalkeeper Ramsdale held Declan Rice back to cool down his burning head.
The referee team also intervened to calm the situation. Declan Rice then continued to celebrate with Bellingham and ran out to thank the English fans who came to cheer.
