Proposing some tasks for intellectual property development in Dong Nai area

(DN) - On the afternoon of August 21, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, Vo Hoang Khai, chaired a working session with ALIAT Law Company Limited (Ho Chi Minh City) to propose a number of cooperation tasks and develop intellectual property in the province.

Dong Nai is implementing tasks under the Intellectual Property Development Program in the area. These include the task of creating, managing and developing the Vinh Cuu – Dong Nai Green-Skin Grapefruit certification mark for green-skin grapefruit products of Vinh Cuu district (old) and Tan Phu – Dong Nai Green-Skin Grapefruit for green-skin grapefruit products of Tan Phu district (old).

In addition, it is also responsible for creating, managing and developing the Tan Phu - Dong Nai Durian certification mark for durian products of Tan Phu district (old); the Lam San - Cam My pepper certification mark for pepper products of Cam My district (old).

After merging Binh Phuoc (old) and Dong Nai (old) into Dong Nai (new), ALIAT Law Company Limited recommends continuing to implement these tasks.

The company proposed a number of contents that the company can cooperate with the province from 2025 such as: creating, managing and developing new community brands; improving the efficiency of management and development of established advantageous community brands; foreign registration for community brands...

In addition, there is training in knowledge; detecting and handling acts of intellectual property infringement; supporting businesses in designing and registering for common trademark protection; registering to establish rights, commercializing inventions/utility solutions/copyrights of research works...

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the contents that need to be updated after the change of administrative boundaries; issues of concern in the field of intellectual property for businesses in the area, and the potential for cooperation between the locality, businesses and consulting units to serve as a basis for future cooperation.
