Proposal to reward 40 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

During the emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), agencies, departments and branches in the province organized many activities.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized 40 mobile film screenings in Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts, attracting about 2,000 viewers. Nearly 500 specialized books were displayed and introduced on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. A talk on the topic "The value of 70 years of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory for the young generation in building and defending the Fatherland today" was organized by the Youth Union and Association at all levels. 86 activities, sports and art exchange programs, and festivals promoting revolutionary songs were organized.

Visiting and gift-giving activities also took place enthusiastically. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs visited 9 typical families of soldiers and martyrs with difficult circumstances in Ninh Giang, Thanh Ha and Cam Giang districts.

Districts, towns and cities organized visits and presented gifts to a total of 864 soldiers and relatives of martyrs who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign with a budget of 927 million VND. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee mobilized support to build "great solidarity" houses for poor households in Dien Bien province with a total amount of over 5.6 billion VND. The Department of Health coordinated to examine and provide free medicine to 700 veterans, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign...

At the meeting, delegates agreed on a list of rewards for 40 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory to submit to superiors for consideration and decision.
