On July 13, at Hanaka Paris Ocean Park Hall (Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province), the professional meeting and official draw ceremony for the Davis Cup Group III international tennis tournament - Asia and Oceania region in 2025 was held. The tournament was organized by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) in coordination with the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) and related units. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Bac Ninh Province and the international referee team.
Vietnam is ready to enter the challenging group with home field advantage.
Under the direction of ITF Referee General Jemin You (Korea), the draw ceremony has determined the attractive matches and divided them into two groups. Thailand, seeded No. 1, along with Saudi Arabia (seeded No. 3), Vietnam (No. 6) and Singapore (No. 7), are in Group A. Meanwhile, Group B brings together Indonesia - seeded No. 2, along with Syria (No. 4), Jordan (No. 5), Sri Lanka (No. 8) and Cambodia (No. 9). This division is based on the rankings and professional assessments from the ITF, promising to create intense competitions right from the group stage.
The tournament opening ceremony will take place from 12:30 - 13:00, July 14. Matches will start at 13:00 every day from July 14 - 19.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of VTF, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: "After many months of close coordination between VTF, ITF, Bac Ninh province and sponsors, especially Hanaka Group - the diamond sponsor of facilities, grounds, organization, communication, security, health , environment and logistics, the host country Vietnam is ready to organize the international tennis tournament from July 14 to 19 according to ITF's requirements.
The Davis Cup Group III 2025 is not only a place for athletes to compete for national glory, but also a bridge to promote cultural exchange and solidarity among countries in the Asia - Oceania region."
The faces and pride of Vietnamese tennis such as Vu Ha Minh Duc, Nguyen Van Phuong, Pham La Hoang Anh, Dinh Viet Tuan Minh, Nguyen Minh Phat under the guidance of head coach Nguyen Phi Anh Vu are determined to compete for the national flag, aiming for the goal of promotion to Group II in 2026.
"The whole team is maintaining high spirits and is determined to compete at their best. Especially playing at home, with the support of the fans. All team members are united and share the same goal of achieving the best results in this tournament," said athlete Vu Ha Minh Duc.
The tournament attracted nearly 50 athletes from 9 countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Syria, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Davis Cup in Bac Ninh - an opportunity to demonstrate international organizing capacity
Before the official competition day, the organizing committee held a technical meeting with the heads of delegations to agree on the format, competition schedule and related regulations, ensuring the tournament takes place according to ITF standards.
According to ITF regulations, the top three teams will qualify for the Group II play-offs in 2026, while the bottom two will be relegated to Group IV. The remaining teams will continue to compete in Group III next season.
This year's tournament will be held at the Hanaka Paris Ocean Park tennis court complex in Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province. This is one of the venues that has completed its court system and facilities according to the ITF's requirements. Hosting the Davis Cup Group III 2025 is an opportunity for the locality to demonstrate its ability to organize international sporting events according to professional standards, promising to bring attractive professional matches, contributing to promoting the development of domestic sports.
