Singer Training: The Star Training Furnace and the Complicated Cooperation

Việt NamViệt Nam03/09/2024

The explosion of social networks has led to the strong development of the entertainment industry. From here, many young people have sought opportunities to cooperate with "training" companies to become star singers, but things are not easy.

Singer Sofia has just posted 33 photos with a "letter of the heart" denouncing musician Chau Dang Khoa and Superbrothers Company for "oppressing and cutting off her way of life". This "letter of the heart" has caused a stir in public opinion because it contains many details revealed for the first time by Sofia.

Singer sues management company

"I can't take it anymore. I'm only human and have my limits. Sofia decided to stand up for herself and tell everyone everything, whether what Sofia did was right or wrong. Sofia will face the consequences and share her truth" - singer Sofia spoke up.

Sofia said she had unilaterally terminated her contract with musician Chau Dang Khoa's company. However, up to now, Superbrothers Company has continuously taken actions that, according to Sofia, "suppress her way of life and hinder her future musical path".

Sofia revealed that VQ's manager constantly harassed show organizers in Australia when they invited her to perform. She pointed out the mistakes in the way musician Chau Dang Khoa and his manager worked. Sofia also talked about being given "fake goods" by Chau Dang Khoa along with a lot of unclear information about finances, salary, and fees. Sofia said that in the 3 years she has been singing, she has never touched a contract.

Previously, musician Chau Dang Khoa pointed out a series of violations by Sofia, such as her secretly ordering songs from other musicians and automatically accepting outside shows without going through the company. Chau Dang Khoa also told about Sofia showing signs of fraud with money, overstating expenses.

During the evening that Chau Dang Khoa livestreamed, many people such as rapper Khoi, female singer Huynh Tu, Sofia's assistant, a producer who had collaborated with her... also posted to "expose" her. This shows that the story that Sofia told before still has many points that need to be clarified, and a final conclusion cannot be drawn.

This is not the first time musician Chau Dang Khoa and his SuperBrothers Company have encountered accusations. Previously, singers Orange, Lyly and Chau Dang Khoa had long-lasting scandals with situations similar to Sofia's case.

Chau Dang Khoa's "war" with Lyly, Orange and Sophie is not new. Due to conflicts arising during the cooperation process, many singers have chosen to leave their management company or denounce, even sue the company in court.

Singer Miko Lan Trinh once sued Amigo Company of manager Hoang Vu to terminate the contract, leaving the company without having to pay compensation for damages. However, Amigo counter-sued, sued the female singer and demanded 450 million VND in compensation.

Miko Lan Trinh believes that Amigo did not fulfill its commitment as stated in the $35,000 strategy. According to the singer, the album that the company produced for her used "pirated music", violating copyright.

Is it because of money problems?

Jack and K-ICM's legal battle with their management company also consumed a lot of media ink. Up to now, both have new management companies or manage themselves.

Although insiders avoid talking about disagreements and conflicts during the cooperation process, behind-the-scenes sources say that everything stems from economics . Orange accused the management company headed by Chau Dang Khoa of lacking transparency in income matters. When she asked for a clear explanation, she only received silence. In addition, Orange affirmed that Chau Dang Khoa created tricks to polish his name.

Conflicts surrounding the contract between the singer and the management company also happened to Erik. In February 2017, when he was famous thanks to the hit "After All", Erik suddenly announced that he would try to terminate the contract with St.319 Company.

According to Erik, St.319 Company in general and manager Aiden in particular gave the artist a contract with a profit sharing ratio of 9:1 - 9 parts belonged to the company, the singer only received one part. After a long period of arguing and accusing each other, the scandal ended with Erik leaving the management company to develop his own career.

The news that Liz Kim Cuong left BPRO Entertainment was posted at the end of 2023 and also attracted public attention. This farewell was not too noisy, but at that time, the fact that Liz Kim Cuong had to pay a debt of more than 1 billion VND to the company to end the contract was a buzz on social networks.

In response to this information, BPRO Entertainment affirmed that it does not require Liz Kim Cuong to compensate for damages according to the signed contract. Instead, Liz Kim Cuong only needs to return the investment capital to the company. BPRO Entertainment also created conditions for Liz Kim Cuong to repay by gradually deducting based on monthly revenue.

Meanwhile, Van Production once accused Son Tung of violating the terms of the contract. Singer Son Tung "counterattacked" that the company had no plans for the artist to develop his career, even "banning" him from touring for 6 months ...
