Ensuring the preservation, promotion and honor of traditional cultural values ​​of the nation

Reporting on the Plan to organize the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day on April 19, 2024, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung, Acting Head of the Management Board of the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, said that the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day will take place from April 18-21 at the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi with the participation of more than 300 people including 54 ethnic groups from 63 provinces/cities across the country.

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy chaired a working session on the Plan to organize the Cultural Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups.

Within the framework of the Festival, a conference to honor village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people with many achievements and contributions to the preservation, maintenance, and promotion of traditional cultural values in the locality will take place on the afternoon of April 18; a ceremony to report achievements to Uncle Ho and a meeting with Party and State leaders will take place on the morning of April 19.

The festival will feature many heritage performance activities, introducing local cultures such as: Soc Trang Province Cultural Tourism Festival; Dak Lak Plateau Colors; Dao Village Cultural Colors and daily activities of ethnic communities at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung said that the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village has developed a Plan to submit to the Ministry's leaders for approval, coordinating with units inside and outside the Ministry, and relevant localities to organize the contents and programs according to the Plan approved by the Ministry's leaders to ensure the progress and quality of the program content; Coordinate with the Ministry's Office to advise and report to the Ministry's leaders to invite Party and State leaders to meet and commend village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and prestigious people who have made many contributions to the activities of preserving, maintaining, and promoting ethnic cultural traditions in the locality; Coordinate with localities to compile lists, excerpts, and reports on achievements; Coordinate with the Department of Organization and Personnel to complete procedures to propose forms of commendation for delegates attending the Conference; Organize well the propaganda and promotion of the Festival event...

At the meeting, the representative of the Ministry's Office also contributed ideas on the commendation work, coordinating with the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village in reporting to the Ministry's leaders to invite Party and State leaders to attend the event.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy basically agreed with the plan and report content of the Management Board of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village on the organization of the Festival.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that the organization of the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Festival on April 19 aims to concretize the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities. Continue to affirm the Party and State's attention to the role and responsibility of artisans and those who have made many contributions to the work of preserving and promoting the culture of ethnic minorities, border areas, and areas of special difficulty. Raise the sense of responsibility of all levels, sectors, and cultural subjects in building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity; associate the absorption of the quintessence of human culture in the implementation of economic and social goals according to the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party "Developing people comprehensively and building an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity so that culture truly becomes an endogenous strength, a driving force for national development and national defense".

The Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day is an opportunity for ethnic people to meet, exchange, learn and share experiences in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, contributing to preserving, maintaining, honoring and promoting traditional cultural values of the nation in order to strengthen solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups, building and developing a healthy and progressive cultural life.

Activities during "Vietnam Ethnic Culture Day" were organized solemnly, effectively, safely, economically, and for the right purpose, while creating a joyful, exciting, and united atmosphere.

At the same time, it provides people and tourists with the opportunity to learn, experience and enjoy the unique cultural values of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, thereby raising awareness, pride and sense of responsibility of the people in preserving and promoting the fine traditional values of the nation.

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy requested that the activities in the "Vietnam Ethnic Culture Day" be organized solemnly, effectively, safely, economically, and for the right purpose, while creating a joyful, exciting, and united atmosphere; The content of the activities is unique, the forms of expression are diverse, promoting the role of cultural subjects in the "Common House" of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups, ensuring the factors of preserving, promoting, and honoring traditional cultural values of the nation.
