Dak Nong won 1 gold prize and 3 silver prizes at the 2024 National Song, Dance and Music Festival

From September 29 to October 15, at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2024 National Singing, Dancing and Music Festival - Phase 2.

The festival attracted the participation of nearly 1,500 artists from 24 units nationwide; including professional music and dance art units inside and outside the public sector; music and dance art units of the armed forces; symphony, music, and ballet art units inside and outside the public sector nationwide.

Each unit will compete in a program or play with a duration of 60-110 minutes in the following categories: General music and dance, Western art forms (symphony, musical, ballet, vocal drama, Broadway, opera...).

The programs, performances and plays participating in the Festival have themes and content praising the country and people of Vietnam; embodying the cultural identities of ethnic groups, regions and areas, demonstrating the richness and diversity of art.

Participating in the festival, the Dak Nong Province Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe consists of 50 cadres, actors and artists. With the art program “Legendary Bu Noong”, the Dak Nong Province Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe brings to the festival 11 performances; including 5 singing performances, 4 dancing performances and 2 music performances.

As a result, the Dak Nong Province Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe won 1 gold medal and 3 silver medals for their performances. Musician Quoc Vinh was awarded a certificate of merit by the Vietnam Musicians Association with the title of "Excellent composer and arranger". The dance artist collective - Dak Nong Province Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe was awarded a certificate of merit by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Nong Province for their outstanding achievements in the 2024 National Singing, Dancing and Music Festival - Phase 2.

The 2024 National Singing, Dancing and Music Festival - Phase 2 is a meaningful event to preserve, promote and develop the values ​​of traditional folk and ethnic performing arts of Vietnam; create conditions for professional art units, artists and actors to meet, exchange, learn from experience, improve professional qualifications and discover young talents.

1. Gold medal

- Dance performance: "The Keeper of the Fire Soul"; choreographer Quoc Bao; music Phan Khanh; performance by male and female dance groups.

2. Silver medal

- Stone guitar and zither duet: “Goong lú Bu Noong”.

- Female solo performance: "Men say Bu Noong".

- Traditional musical instrument performance: "Khai Nguyen Bu Noong".
