Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan attended and chaired the Conference. Attending were Deputy Directors Luu Tien Quang and Vo Thi Minh Duyen and 102 officers of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs at the commune level.
The conference was held directly at Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted (Tan An Ward) and online to 349 secondary schools in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Thanh Xuan affirmed that in the context of the two-level local government coming into operation, the education and training sector has both advantages and difficulties. Therefore, based on the new school year task guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training , the Department of Education and Training and the management staff need to proactively clarify difficulties to promptly advise and propose to the People's Committees at the commune level to handle, paying special attention to the issue of teacher shortage.
Ms. Xuan also called on all management staff and teachers to uphold the spirit of solidarity, overcome difficulties, and strive to effectively implement the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year. Compete to teach well, create all conditions for secondary school students to maximize their qualities and abilities, contributing to improving the comprehensive quality of education at all levels.

According to the report, in the 2024-2025 school year after the network arrangement, the whole province has 349 secondary schools with 5,421 classes, more than 194,000 students, of which nearly 30% are ethnic minorities. The team of managers, teachers and staff is more than 12,600 people.
Despite many difficulties, the Dak Lak Education and Training sector basically completed its assigned tasks: Being proactive in policy consultation and communication; ensuring the progress of implementing the 2018 General Education Program; developing appropriate school education plans; innovating teaching and assessment methods towards developing students' qualities and abilities. Mass education is focused on, and the quality of key points is maintained stably.
Of which, the percentage of students with Good and Fair academic results (over 53%). The percentage of students with Good and Fair training is nearly 99%.

Besides the achieved results, there are still many difficulties such as: quality differences between regions, the situation of students dropping out of school in remote areas; facilities and teaching equipment do not meet requirements; the teaching staff is locally lacking in the subjects of Natural Sciences, History - Geography, Music, Fine Arts, etc.
Discussing at the Conference, delegates focused on evaluating the following contents: Exam results/enrollment for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year. Advantages and difficulties in implementing English teaching at secondary school level. Preparations for teaching 2 sessions/day for secondary schools, especially implementing boarding schools for students. Solutions to solve the problem of local teacher surplus and shortage and strengthening digital transformation in education...

Implementing the tasks of the 2025-2026 school year, the education and training sector has set out many key tasks such as: Continuing to effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program. Innovating teaching and assessment methods. Promoting STEM education, digital skills, artificial intelligence, career education and post-secondary education. Strengthening facilities for teaching 2 sessions/day; arranging reasonable staff. Promoting digital transformation, school management and improving the quality of comprehensive education, especially for ethnic minority students and students with disabilities.
