According to the report at the conference, in 2025, academies and schools in the Army will continue to implement the Project on enrollment of full-time military universities and colleges for the period 2023-2030 and the following years, conducting 3 admission methods: Direct admission, priority admission according to the university admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University in 2025 and admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

In 2025, the total enrollment target for military universities is 4,233; the number of applications is 32,263 (an increase of 39.81% compared to 2024); the average ratio is 7.62 applications/1 target. Military college enrollment is 150 candidates, the number of preliminary applications is 767 (an increase of 149.03% compared to 2024); the average ratio is 5.11 applications/1 target...
During the implementation process, the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense, Military Admissions Boards at all levels and Admissions Councils of Military academies and schools have made great efforts, and agencies, units and schools have successfully completed the 2025 enrollment task. All stages of the enrollment work have been implemented in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense; the academies and schools have organized serious and objective enrollment, ensuring fairness and publicity on the school's electronic information page and mass media inside and outside the Army, receiving public consensus and support.

Concluding the conference, General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the competent authorities of the Ministry of National Defense to complete the regulations on admission scores for military schools, promulgate, implement and publicly announce them on mass media within the time limit prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, focus on monitoring and directing academies and schools to announce the list of successful candidates, organize the reception of candidates for admission, post-check the admission results; synthesize the admission results, and report to the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense.
At the same time, direct and guide localities and units to issue conscription orders; complete military service records and resumes for candidates admitted to military schools in 2025 in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 67/2025 dated July 3, 2025 of the Minister of National Defense amending and supplementing a number of articles of circulars on managing the number of standing forces; registering permanent and temporary residence in the Ministry of National Defense; resolving regimes and policies for subjects violating military discipline and the law; guiding the planning and organization of mobilization of reserve forces.

General Nguyen Tan Cuong also requested the authorities to coordinate well with military academies and schools to select successful candidates to send for training abroad and non-military schools to ensure that they meet the quota, meet the standards and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense. Focus on reviewing and assessing the political background of successful candidates and selecting candidates to send for training abroad, non-military schools to ensure that they meet the standards and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense.
In addition, agencies, units, academies and schools need to coordinate with press agencies inside and outside the Army to promote propaganda work on admission to Army schools; strengthen education, build responsible attitudes and trust right from the time new candidates enroll; organize exchanges between old and new students with diversified extracurricular activities, making a good impression right from the start for candidates and their families. Organize health check-ups for successful candidates to ensure strictness, on time, and early conclusions so that candidates who do not meet health standards can transfer their wishes to universities outside the Army.
