"Female general" on the field commands thousands of troops
Sharing with reporters, at A80 - Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), Colonel, Doctor, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thu Ha was assigned the task of general director of the ceremonial vehicles.
Having been assigned this task 10 years ago, People's Artist Thu Ha struggled to innovate the way of doing things, from designing props for each car to choreographing each parade movement to make it beautiful and consistent, meeting the criteria of each car's meaning.
The National Emblem Car is a national symbol, representing the sovereignty and unity of the country. 108 people (including 54 men and 54 women) symbolize the strong solidarity of 54 ethnic groups - the invincible strength, forged through thousands of years of building and defending the country.
People's Artist Thu Ha directs hundreds of people to practice in the pouring rain
Soldiers and students held silk ribbons and sunflowers printed with the image of the Fatherland and the Party flag - sacred symbols of the nation's soul, the people's hearts, and the solidarity of the Vietnamese people.
The procession carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh shows respect and gratitude to the great leader of the nation with 80 young people holding lotus flowers to offer to beloved Uncle Ho.
Finally, there is a model car symbolizing the 80th anniversary of National Day with 80 people (including 40 men, 40 women) dressed in the uniforms of workers, farmers, soldiers, intellectuals, students, army forces, police, militia, ethnic groups from the North, Central, and South... together to show solidarity, patriotism, national pride, and the country's aspirations to rise.
"As an artist and soldier, I am extremely proud to participate in major events of the army and the country such as A70, A50 and this year A80. Each event gives me different emotions, listening to the heroic heartbeat of the country. The footsteps of the parade and review are not only part of the ceremony but also the footsteps of previous generations who shed sweat, tears and blood to have today. The footsteps of the soldiers walk proudly like the way our ancestors moved forward without faltering", Thu Ha was moved.
Overcome the sun, overcome the rain
With high training intensity and harsh weather, but with determination to overcome the sun and rain, People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and her students and soldiers practiced, honed their mettle, and fostered their desire to contribute.
She shared: "Being selected to join the honor guard for mission A80 is not only a great honor but also a special mark in the journey of maturity of the children - the green shoots who are continuing the tradition of patriotism and national pride."
In response to the question "Do you aim to continue creating a fever like A50?", the female Colonel said: "For me, any important event of the nation is a fever - a fever of patriotism and national pride; a fever of wanting to be present at Ba Dinh Square, where 80 years ago, Uncle Ho read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Among thousands of people, among the strong footsteps of the marching army, among the space filled with the red color of the national flag, listening to the heroic beat of the country. Wanting to see the national soul in every moment, wanting to let my heart calm down among the heroic sounds of the country, wanting to keep those images not only in my sight but also in my heart".
People's Artist Thu Ha added that A80 is coming very soon, she hopes that with the hard and responsible training, the heroic and uniform footsteps of the capital's students and soldiers of the Hanoi Capital Command will contribute to creating a sacred and majestic picture at the historic Ba Dinh Square.
