On June 27, the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria held a press conference to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Bulgaria (February 8, 1950 - February 8, 2025).
Attending the meeting were representatives of more than 20 local news agencies and newspapers such as Bulgarian National Radio , Bulgarian National Television , Bulgarian Journalists Association , 24chasa.bg newspaper, Zemya newspaper, Duma newspaper, Capital newspaper...
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet presented some highlights of Vietnam's socio -economic development achievements after nearly 40 years of Renovation.
From a poor country affected by war, siege and embargo, Vietnam has risen to become a dynamic economy with an increasingly important position in the region and the world .
The Ambassador reviewed Vietnam's achievements in socio-economic development and foreign affairs in recent years; and provided information on Vietnam's current apparatus streamlining revolution to improve the effectiveness of the country's leadership and management, ensuring "Refined - Lean - Strong - Effective - Efficient - Effective - Efficient".
At the same time, the Ambassador shared with representatives of press agencies about the Party's "Four Pillars" including: Science and technology, innovation, national digital transformation; International integration; Law making and enforcement; and Private economic development.
These are four fundamental institutional pillars, creating strong momentum to move the country forward in the new era, realizing the vision of a developed, high-income Vietnam by 2045.

Expressing her honor at taking up her assignment in Bulgaria on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet emphasized that this is an important milestone, demonstrating the long-lasting friendship that has been preserved and continuously developed, with loyal and close feelings, trust and mutual understanding.
The Vietnamese people always appreciate and remember the valuable, loyal and responsible assistance of the Bulgarian people during the period of fighting for national independence, building and defending the Fatherland.
Pleased to announce that the Bilateral Business Forum organized by the Embassy in coordination with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) on July 3 will attract Vietnamese enterprises to participate directly, more than Vietnamese enterprises participating online. The Ambassador expressed his hope that the Business Forum will help both sides make good use of the potential for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and investment.

On this occasion, representative of the Trade Office Nguyen Thanh Hai informed about the development of Vietnam's economy, trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria and the European Union (EU).
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai emphasized that Vietnamese enterprises can see the Bulgarian market as a gateway to Southeast Europe and Europe, and vice versa, Bulgarian enterprises can see Vietnam as a gateway to the ASEAN market.

On behalf of the press agencies, journalist Maxim Behar shared his memories of writing articles about Vietnamese people working in Bulgaria during the period 1980 - 1990, thereby having a good impression of the diligence and hard work of Vietnamese people; he said that Vietnam is now a "big country" with a dynamically developing economy.
The good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria is a very favorable foundation for businesses of the two countries to learn more about each other and establish cooperative relations in the coming time.
Representative of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Ms. Gabriela Dimitrova, Head of International Relations, expressed her impression of Vietnam's economic development achievements in recent years; affirming that BCCI is closely coordinating with the Vietnamese Embassy in Bulgaria to organize the upcoming Business Forum.
Ms. Gabriela Dimitrova also informed journalists that the Bulgarian business community is currently very interested in business cooperation opportunities with Vietnam. A large number of Bulgarian businesses in many fields (pharmaceuticals, real estate, human resource supply, food...) will attend the Business Forum and bilateral meetings with Vietnamese businesses after the forum.

On the sidelines of the event, representatives of the Bulgarian press agency shared positive assessments of Vietnam's socio-economic development and foreign affairs achievements after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi; unanimously agreed that there is still a lot of potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
Delegates also asked many questions about Vietnam's foreign policy, economy, culture, prospects and directions of cooperation between Vietnam and Bulgaria in the coming time.
Delegates attending the event were also provided with many official documents on Vietnam's economic, social and cultural development achievements; visited the photo exhibition of 75 years of Vietnam-Bulgaria relations; visited the corner displaying agricultural products and handicrafts and enjoyed some traditional Vietnamese dishes (pho, nem, bun cha).

Immediately after the event, a series of Bulgarian newspapers published articles about Vietnam such as: "Vietnamese Ambassador to journalists: The press is an important information bridge" on the Bulgarian Journalists Association website, "Vietnamese Embassy shows hospitality through meeting with Bulgarian press" on Zemya newspaper, "Vietnam has become the leading exporter of Asia and the world" on Duma newspaper, "75 years of Bulgaria-Vietnam diplomatic relations" on Novinata.bg newspaper...
The articles all present Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements; highly appreciate the strategic development orientations and visions to turn Vietnam into a developed, high-income country by 2045.
