Hanoi National University plans to reduce 40% of rooms and departments

Hanoi National University is implementing a project to streamline its organizational structure, expected to reduce 35-40% of departments and offices and 15% of staff.


According to Director of Hanoi National University Le Quan, this is also an opportunity for Hanoi National University to receive investment from the Party and Government , to raise its international level in all aspects, and to develop sustainably in the coming time.

Streamlining the apparatus is difficult, complicated, and sensitive, but very necessary in the current context to avoid overlapping functions, wasting resources, and reducing work effectiveness and efficiency.

The Board of Directors of Hanoi National University and heads of several units have announced plans to reduce organizational units and staff.

Specifically, Hanoi National University plans to reduce 35-40% of departments and offices and 15% of staff; the leaders of the University of Foreign Languages have reported a plan to streamline and reduce 44% of the University's units...

In addition, Hanoi National University will be 100% self-sufficient in regular expenses from 2026.

Previously, Hanoi National University had implemented the merger of the Project Management Board and the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Hanoi National University in Hoa Lac into a Project Management Board under Hanoi National University.
