On the afternoon of November 19, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province announced that the "Gia Lai City Trail 2023 - Dream of the Great Forest" race had taken place successfully. Statistics from the race organizing committee showed that there were over 4,000 runners participating from many provinces and cities.

This is the first running and mountain climbing competition in Gia Lai on different terrains, attracting many runners from professionals to amateurs. The race takes place at the time when Gia Lai is in the most beautiful season of the year. Therefore, the race and the experience of admiring the majestic and poetic landscape have made runners gather in the mountain town at the time when wild sunflowers are at their most blooming. The race is part of the series of activities of Gia Lai Culture - Tourism Week 2023.

The tournament attracted 4,000 athletes from 40 provinces and cities nationwide and 18 foreign athletes from 10 countries. Athletes competed in 4 distances including 5 km, 10 km, 21 km and 42 km. The 21 km and 10 km events had the largest number of runners registered with more than 1,000 athletes each; the 5 km event had nearly 1,000 athletes and the most challenging event was 42 km with more than 400 athletes.

The starting point is the scenic Bien Ho Lake. The route passes through hundred-year-old pine trees, tea hills in Nghia Hung commune (Chu Pah) or the road filled with wild sunflowers to Chu Dang Ya volcano (Chu Pah).

Below are the beautiful routes full of wild flowers and foxtail grass at the "Gia Lai City Trail 2023 - Great Forest Dream" race taking place on November 19.
