Savings and loan group of Hong Van hamlet, Bac Phong commune (Cao Phong) and staff of the Social Policy Bank inspected the use of loans by farmers.
Over the years, policy credit capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) has become a solid "midwife", helping tens of thousands of farming households in the province develop production and improve their lives. From 2021 to present, the total outstanding loan balance from the VBSP managed by the Farmers' Association has reached over VND 1,368 billion. Through 622 savings and loan groups, over 25,500 VBSP households have received loans to implement economic models.
Not only providing financial resources, policy capital also contributes to changing the thinking and working methods of HVND. Thanks to the guidance and support of the Association at all levels in propagating and disseminating policies, supporting loan procedures and supervising the proper use of capital, many members have boldly invested in economic models, developed production towards commodities, applied technical advances and digital transformation in agriculture . A typical example is Mr. Bui Van Phan's household in Doi Bung hamlet, Dong Lai commune (Tan Lac) borrowed 90 million VND from the VBSP to invest in cage fish farming and open a small food service business. Thanks to the effective model, his family earns about 180 - 250 million VND each year.
Along with policy funding, over 53,500 HVND in the province participated in more than 1,000 training courses and transferred scientific and technical advances. Many high-tech agricultural production models were formed, contributing to improving productivity, product quality and increasing competitiveness in the market.
HND at all levels also cooperated with enterprises to supply agricultural materials to members, including more than 10,000 tons of fertilizer, nearly 200 tons of pesticides, over 5,800 tons of animal feed, over 10,350 tons of corn and rice seeds and nearly 200 machines and production equipment. Thanks to that, members not only have capital but also access to knowledge, materials and tools for effective production.
From the policy capital, thousands of HVND households have escaped poverty and become rich legitimately. Among them, 5 farmers were awarded the title of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union; 147 farmers were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; over 7,000 households achieved the title of "Provincial-level Good Farmers in Production and Business".
Comrade Bui Duc Bien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association affirmed: "Policy credit capital is a solid foundation to help farmers not only escape poverty but also confidently master modern agricultural economic models. We identify that accompanying members in accessing capital, applying techniques and connecting to the market is a long-term task to build a generation of professional farmers who adapt to the market."
Reality shows that when policy capital is deployed to the right target, closely monitored and combined with agricultural extension activities, trade promotion, vocational training, etc., it will create a strong momentum for agriculture and rural areas. The close coordination between Farmers' Associations at all levels and the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has contributed to effectively mobilizing resources, bringing practical benefits to farmers and promoting the sustainable development of "three agricultures".
