In Con Dao district, the delegation surveyed the actual working and living conditions of workers and engineers working at the construction site. In harsh weather conditions and complex construction terrain both at sea and on land, the delegation recognized the serious working spirit and overcoming difficulties of the labor force.

To promptly encourage the working spirit of the workers, the delegation presented gifts to 4 groups with a total value of 110 million VND. These gifts not only demonstrate the practical concern of the trade union organization but also serve as a great source of encouragement for the workers who are striving to complete their tasks at this important project.
Previously, on June 17, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union also coordinated with the Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation to organize a delegation to visit, encourage and present gifts to union members and workers constructing the Con Dao District Power Supply Project ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province). Accordingly, the delegation visited the work and life situation of workers constructing important items of the project in Vinh Chau town (Soc Trang). Here, the delegation presented gifts to 5 groups, with a total value of 110 million VND to encourage working spirit and share difficulties with the workforce.
The above activity is included in Plan No. 7089/KH-TLĐ-EVN, dated December 8, 2024 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Electricity Group on launching an emulation movement to accelerate the investment progress of EVN's key projects in 2025. This includes coordinating with trade unions at all levels and local authorities in site clearance, propaganda, mobilizing people, supporting construction and taking care of union members and workers.
The project to supply electricity from the national grid to Con Dao district is one of the seven key projects of EVN in 2025, located in Soc Trang and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces. This is a particularly important project to ensure a stable and continuous supply of electricity to the island district at the forefront of the Fatherland, contributing to socio -economic development and maintaining security and defense of the region.
