Tam Soc culvert, My Thuan commune, My Tu district, had a landslide in January 2024. The Provincial People's Committee announced the landslide situation and directed the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment to coordinate with the locality to implement the construction of the landslide reinforcement project according to the prescribed procedures. The adjustment part of the project proposed by the consulting unit compared to the previous approval is the river side slope, the field side is lined with geotextile, and the soil is filled in layers of compacted soil from 1 - 1.5 meters, and the top is filled to create a flat roof with a layer of sand sacks 0.5 meters thick. Harden the slope with 1x2 mac 250 stone reinforced concrete on a reinforced base of 1x2 crushed stone 0.1 meters thick. Install 3 rows of Melaleuca piles L=4.5 meters, 12 piles/mD along the length of the slope to block and stabilize the new layer of filled soil.

Repair damage to the gate yard area and the culvert bottom slab by pouring 1x2 mac 250 stone reinforced concrete on the part of the energy-dissipating yard that has sunk compared to the culvert bottom slab, build retaining walls along both sides of the culvert wall; drill concrete on the culvert bottom slab, pump cement mortar plus expanding additives into the gaps under the culvert bottom slab. Line the geotextile with soil in layers, compacted from 1 - 1.5 meters, and create a roof with sandbags 0.5 meters thick on top. Harden the slope adjacent to the culvert with 1x2 mac 250 stone reinforced concrete on top of 1x2 crushed stone 0.1 meters thick.

Comrade Vuong Quoc Nam said that overcoming dangerous landslides and salinity intrusion of Tam Soc sluice gate is to ensure safe and effective operation of the sluice gate, prevent salinity, retain water for agricultural production and the lives of people in the sluice gate area. With the effectiveness of Tam Soc sluice gate, the province has approved an extension for the consulting unit to adjust the project and complete the final settlement. For the extension to be in accordance with regulations, the relevant units must ensure the package of documents, procedures as well as have a legal basis and identify the elements of the extended project; submit the extension to adjust the construction of the project to the Provincial People's Committee on June 18.
