Writer Doi Xuan Viet (80 years old, photo ) is a member of the Vietnam Cinema Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association. He was born in Thanh Hoa, grew up in Hanoi ; joined the army, participated in the Quang Tri campaign in 1972 and later worked at the Vietnam Feature Film Studio until 2005.
