Ve Pagoda is an ancient pagoda with many cultural, architectural and sculptural values with the architecture of “inner public, outer private”. The pagoda’s worship system belongs to the Northern Lam Te sect. The Buddha statues are exquisitely carved, and despite nearly 300 years of history, they still retain their splendid gold-plated lacquer.

Each statue in the pagoda is a unique work of art, bearing the mark of the 17th century and preserved intact to this day. Inside the pagoda is a large bell cast during the Le Canh Hung period, beautiful in shape, clear in sound, 1.5m high, 66cm in diameter.

With its great historical, cultural, architectural and artistic values, Ve Pagoda was granted the National Historical and Cultural Relic Certificate on February 12, 1994.

The fire at Ve Pagoda broke out early this morning, February 10. At 1:15 a.m., the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Bac Giang Provincial Police received a fire alarm and immediately dispatched 4 fire trucks and 30 officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with Bac Giang City Police to organize fire fighting and rescue.

At around 1:35 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control. Because the fire broke out at dawn and was discovered late, the fire burned down the front hall and the back hall. The fire did not cause any human casualties.
