On behalf of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh has just signed and issued an official dispatch on proactively responding to tropical depressions in the East Sea.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1 p.m. on June 10, the tropical depression was located at approximately 15.3°N - 114.8°E, approximately 360km east-southeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was level 6-7 (39-61km/h), gusting to level 9.
Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 2969/CD-BNNMT dated June 10, 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment , to proactively respond to the developments of tropical depression, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities and units to continue to strictly implement the instructions and official dispatches of the Provincial People's Committee on natural disaster prevention and control, ensuring the safety of irrigation works and dykes in 2025; focusing on responding to the risk of heavy rain, landslides, flash floods and proactively preventing and combating natural disasters in the coming time.
At the same time, it is necessary to closely monitor the developments of natural disasters; strictly manage means of transport at sea; organize counting and notify owners of means of transport, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of the location, direction of movement and developments of natural disasters to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.
Units and localities are ready with forces and means to promptly rescue when requested.
The Provincial Hydrometeorological Station continues to closely monitor natural disaster developments, forecast, warn, and provide information to the media and relevant agencies to promptly inform the people and serve command and response work.
Ha Tinh Newspaper, mass media from the province to districts, communes, wards and towns regularly report on the developments of tropical depressions and instructions from functional agencies so that organizations and individuals throughout the province can proactively prevent them.
The Chairman of the District People's Committee closely follows the situation, seriously, promptly and effectively implements the work of natural disaster prevention, control, and rescue in the area according to the "four on-site" motto; absolutely must not be negligent, subjective, lose vigilance, and not allow interruptions in directing response to natural disasters when restructuring administrative units and organizing local governments at two levels.
Organize the on-duty team seriously, regularly maintain the reporting regime to the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue.
Assign the Department of Agriculture and Environment (Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control) to monitor and urge the implementation of the telegram according to its assigned functions and tasks; promptly report and advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on sudden and arising issues.
