On this occasion, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Trinh, born in 1928, currently residing at 94 Hang Bac Street, Hoan Kiem Ward. In 1965, comrade Pham Manh Chi, son of mother Le Thi Trinh, joined the army and died in 1970 at the Duc Trong front, Lam Dong province.
Next, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Nong Quang Loc, born in 1933, 21% war invalid, 41% chemical poison victim, currently residing at 14B Ly Nam De street, Hoan Kiem ward.
Mr. Loc was a soldier, Deputy Squad Leader, Squad Leader of Regiment 174, Division 315 and held many other positions in the army; was Principal of the Engineering Officer School. Since retiring in 1998, he has actively participated in local work.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh kindly visited the health and living conditions of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Trinh and war invalid Nong Quang Loc; expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the great contributions of policy families and war invalids in the struggle for national independence, national reunification as well as the current national construction.
On this occasion, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh hopes that Heroic Vietnamese Mother Le Thi Trinh and war invalid Nong Quang Loc will continue to live happily and healthily; always be a shining example of courage and sacrifice for the younger generation to learn and follow; continue to work with the Party Committee, government and political system to build the locality and the Capital to develop more and more.
Comrade Tran Sy Thanh also requested the Party Committee and the authorities of Hoan Kiem ward to continue to care for, visit and look after Vietnamese Heroic Mother Le Thi Trinh and war invalid Nong Quang Loc as well as other families of meritorious people in the area, and to better perform the work of gratitude; considering this not only a sentiment and morality, but also a responsibility of the entire political system and society.
Representatives of policy families expressed their joy and excitement at the attention, encouragement and sharing of the leaders of Hanoi city and Hoan Kiem ward; promised to always be exemplary and active citizens, together with the Party committee, government and people of all walks of life, contributing to building the locality and the capital Hanoi to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
