On the morning of June 27, in Lao Cai city, it was pouring rain with thunder and lightning. There was still an hour left until the third exam session of the graduation exam, but in front of the gate of High School No. 1 - the No. 1 exam site of Lao Cai city, there were already many candidates and their families. In a hurry under the heavy rain and also to prepare the conditions for the exam, the students rushed into the exam hall. Behind them, their parents were hesitantly watching. Although the rain was very heavy, they did not return immediately, but chose a small corner on the side of the road to stand, their faces full of anxiety. Many people brought water bottles, hand fans or even small folding chairs to prepare for the hours of waiting.

Ms. Vu Lan Huong, mother of Vuong Ngoc Khanh, a 12A4 student at Lao Cai City High School No. 1, shared: "When my child goes to take the exam, I lose my appetite and sleep. During my child's exam sessions, I take him to the exam early. Not only do I take him to and from the exam, I also stay at the exam gate during the entire time he is taking the exam, hoping that he will be calm and confident in doing well on his exam."

Sharing the same sentiment as Ms. Lan Huong, thousands of parents at 27 examination sites in the province are also nervous and anxious. Whether it is sunny or rainy, those footsteps do not leave the examination school gate, their eyes always looking towards the examination school. Because who knows, maybe their children have urgent matters, such as forgetting their exam card, forgetting their citizen identification card, forgetting the necessary tools to take the exam... Many parents shared: When their children enter the examination room, they cannot go home or go anywhere to do anything, because their guts feel like they are "on fire", so sitting here (in front of the examination school gate) will be more secure.
Amidst the crowd in front of the exam site gate of Sa Pa High School No. 1, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, residing on Cau May Street, Sa Pa Town, could not hide his anxiety. Mr. Hai shared: “In 12 years of accompanying my child through classes and exams, I have never felt as anxious as this exam. To ensure my child has the best conditions to take the exam, I take care of him from meals to sleep. Every exam day, I stay and wait for him in front of the school gate. When my child walks out of the school gate, seeing his smile, I feel somewhat reassured.”

For Mr. Hai, as well as many other parents, the moment their child steps out of the school gate is the most meaningful moment. They look forward to seeing their child smile as they step out of the school gate. That smile is not only an expression of completing an exam, but also a release of pressure and worries. It is a smile of confidence, of hope for a good result after years of hard work studying. For parents, that smile is the greatest gift, dispelling all fatigue and anxiety.
For many parents, this is not only their child's exam but also an important moment when they accompany their child on the threshold of the future. The image of parents waiting in the sun and rain will forever be a beautiful memory, a great motivation for their children to continue opening the door to knowledge on the path to conquering their dreams.
