The program features many artists, actors, celebrities and people who are loved by a large audience in their fields. But since joining the program, the artists have revealed that they themselves also “idolize” their companions, the police officers in the units they have visited to make the program. As director Mai Tham said: “People idolize artists, and artists who participate in the program idolize the officers.”

Strong impressions

As the first immersive reality show about the police force, the artists participating in the show had extremely impressive experiences and feelings, which according to artist Tien Luat: "They will never forget in their whole life, and will never have a second time".

Tien Luat is one of the comedians participating in the program. He said that he was initially quite hesitant because he was afraid that his comedian image would not match the seriousness of the program. But the experiences in the program and the sharing from fellow soldiers and artists during their missions made him tear up at times.

“I have participated in many game shows, and have encountered situations where I cried on the spot. But in this particular show, there were times when I couldn’t cry, and the feeling of not being able to cry was even more painful than crying. The emotions were stuck in my chest. Because the narrator didn’t complain or cry, but their eyes contained a pain that they had kept in their hearts for too long,” Tien Luat recounted.

It is the story of soldiers who witnessed their comrades fall, but could do nothing. They kept that pain in their hearts and lived with it for many years. Some told the story with tears in their eyes and a choked voice even though 10-12 years had passed. Just by asking: "What worries you the most?", all the emotions burst out.

It is a story about mothers and wives who stay at home and do not know what mission their husbands and children are on – because the mission is secret. Only when their loved ones do not return do they find out.

There are soldiers who have been on duty for nearly 20 years without ever having a family vacation . Some are about to go to war, and knowing that their mothers are worried, they have to pretend to reassure them – leaving their helmets, armor, and backpacks in the room, making their mothers think they are just going on a regular business trip. Because if their mothers see them wearing armor outside, they will immediately understand and will not be able to sleep.

“It is stories like these that make us no longer consider this just a game show or a TV show. This is a real journey. Each story is a lesson, each moment is an experience that we may not have the chance to do again in our entire life. And that is why I find this program so special, so meaningful. I hope the audience will feel the same way as us - like the soldiers who shared sincerely. This is not only a reality TV show, but also a place to preserve the thoughts, feelings, and even the very humane hidden corners of a police officer. This is a very special program. Each episode, each journey is a profound lesson that I may not have the chance to repeat again in my entire life” - Tien Luat shared.

What impressed comedian Le Duong Bao Lam was the versatility of the soldiers: “The soldiers are truly "all-rounders". They can handle almost any skill in society. If they encounter an electrical problem while moving, they immediately handle it like a professional electrician. Sometimes they even take on the role of porters, carrying everything on their backs, guns, belongings, equipment, and still be ready to fight at night. Their intelligence also makes me really admire them. They can look at maps, explain tactics coherently and professionally like a speaker. Standing in front of hundreds of people, they clearly present strategies, analyze situations, and coordinate very methodically.”

Not only that, Le Duong Bao Lam was also impressed with the cooking, foreign language and other professions of many police officers: "Some are even cooks, cook for the whole team, drive when needed, work as medical staff, sometimes even play the role of teachers, needless to say, they are extremely professional in disguise. Some can even speak the language of their fellow countrymen and foreign languages, very flexible."

As for actor Kieu Minh Tuan, the impression is the thoughts and feelings of the soldiers behind the hours of performing their duties: “When participating in this program, we clearly realized that when we are outside, we will never have the opportunity to deeply understand the thoughts and feelings of the soldiers like that. For example, fire fighters, there are moments when they miss a civilian and cannot save them - that makes them feel tormented forever. Sometimes, while sleeping, they have to wake up, call their wives to share and pour out all their feelings.”

The actor believes that the program not only brings laughter, but also deeply explores the most silent things, the sufferings, and sacrifices that soldiers have gone through and are going through. “I think that is what makes the program truly meaningful and valuable,” he said.

True feelings

Director Mai Tham, who is often affectionately called “ma Tham” by artists, soldiers and audiences, said that the program is built according to the reality TV format. The participating artists do not know the script in advance, there is no arrangement, no acting. All reactions and emotions are real, occurring in real circumstances, completely unstaged.

Unlike TV series, where the actors know their characters in advance, know what they will go through, and if they fail, they can reshoot – here, the artists have to face unforeseen situations directly. That is what creates surprise, authenticity and a very unique emotion for the show.

KOL Hai Long shared that the cast had just finished filming the last part of an episode. Up to that point, the director had never revealed the script in advance. The artists were always put in situations where they had to be ready to fight immediately, so the authenticity in their reactions was extremely high. Many exercises were performed outdoors in the sun like regular soldiers. The training time and content of the lessons had to be fully experienced as real, without any favoritism or leniency.

“I think the sincerity in this show – from facial expressions, to reactions, to recorded actions – is 100% true, the most sincere thing the artists can express.”

Musician and singer Phan Manh Quynh shared that what surprised him most about the program was that the cast met and were trained, talked to, and filmed by real-life heroes, people who had made great achievements in many of the biggest cases, and had experienced life-and-death missions, such as someone who had directly participated in and saved many people in accidents in Son La, or another comrade who had handled an oil spill that had the risk of explosion and fire affecting the entire city of Hai Phong .

That made Phan Manh Quynh and the cast really surprised and touched - because not only did they hear the story, but they also got to directly meet, interact and work with them - the real heroes.

This program clearly shows the scale, seriousness, methodical organization and huge investment, with close coordination between the command of the Ministry of Public Security, professional units and production team.

Approaching the audience closely

Director Mai Tham said that after many meetings with X03, the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security), the unit directly directing and responsible for implementing this program, the crew agreed on a common content orientation as a propaganda program, but with a gentle, close approach to the audience, touching the audience, helping them to be more receptive and sympathetic.

This is a program of the Ministry of Public Security, and it is about the force – so of course it must be very formal and serious. However, if it is delivered in a way that is too formal and theoretical like before, it can easily create a feeling of dryness and difficulty reaching the general audience.

The crew decided to choose a more gentle, closer, and more everyday form of expression. However, the performances by the soldiers in the force still maintained the discipline, danger, and solidarity in line with the spirit of the industry.

“As for artists, their task is to explore, experience and convey what they feel. When these two elements – the seriousness of force and the softness of art – combine, the program can become accessible and reach the public effectively,” director Mai Tham emphasized.

Artist Kieu Minh Tuan commented that the program's format is closer to the general audience. "If it is done too seriously or too professionally, the audience will find it difficult to approach. At first, some viewers may find it strange and unfamiliar with the humorous and joking situations in the program. But I believe that when the program is completed with real emotions, it will convince even the most difficult audience."

For King Hung Nguyen, the way to build a logical and attractive content line from episode 1 to episode 15 is a way to attract the audience. From the training stage to practice skills, physical strength, and will - preparing for receiving tasks, to hypothetical and simulated tasks and from there the artists go to different units to perform increasingly specialized and realistic professional situations. This helps viewers clearly see the training and growth process in the police environment.

And that is also the reason why all the artists participating in the program actively "push the media", spreading their efforts on the training ground as well as in reality so that the audience can understand more about the people's police force. And they themselves, although not yet out of the program, all hope that if there is a second season, they will be able to return together, wearing the uniforms of the forces. As King Hung Nguyen said: "The feeling of living with the brothers, going through hardships, missions, fighting... is truly a profound and unforgettable experience. I hope that there will be a second, third, fourth season... so that we can meet again, wear those uniforms again and continue those proud journeys."
