Netizens post about what they will eat tomorrow when restaurants open for take-out |
Ms. Trinh said that she had received a Covid-19 vaccine shot, and that she would continue to follow up to complete the registration procedures according to the City People's Committee's announcement about being allowed to resume business.
Even though she has stopped selling, Ms. Trinh still receives dozens of phone calls every day from regular customers asking for beef noodles. She said she does not accept orders, but she still replies to customers and waits until the sale resumes, then posts the announcement on her personal page.
Ms. Trinh confided: "I was very happy to hear that we were able to resume sales because we had been closed for a long time. Everyone didn't have to worry about food, so the situation would probably be better."
Beef noodle soup, broken rice, Saigon fried chicken... still quiet on the first day of take-out sales |
To ensure safety, Ms. Trinh left the beef noodles on the table and walked away. The shipper would come and pick up the goods and then leave the money on the table. After the shipper left, she came to spray disinfectant and then collect the money. That was also the epidemic prevention method Ms. Trinh had applied during her previous online sales.
Similar to Ms. Trinh, Ms. Nguyen Uyen (who sells beef noodle soup online in Binh Thanh District) felt very happy when hearing the news that she would be allowed to do business again. Ms. Uyen said that because the city tightened the social distancing order, her family intended to stop selling beef noodle soup. However, after hearing the news that business would be allowed to resume, she will consider continuing to sell.
“My mother and I plan to continue selling if the situation is stable. It’s business, so of course I’m happy to hear that it can be sold again,” she shared.
As Thanh Nien reported, from September 8, Ho Chi Minh City allows food and beverage service businesses (with a business registration license) to operate from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily in the form of take-out sales. Businesses operating under the "3 on-site" method only organize business through online ordering; delivery people are units providing goods delivery services using technology (shippers) and must ensure safety measures to prevent and control the epidemic. The above establishments must register their business with the district, county and Thu Duc City to be granted a travel permit according to Official Dispatch 2800 dated August 21 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. The accompanying condition is that the employee has been vaccinated with at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine and has a negative rapid Covid-19 test every 2 days according to the application form or a pooled sample of 3 people according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health . |
