Chelsea have decided to end striker Nicolas Jackson's loan deal with Bayern Munich and demand the player return to London immediately, after the club lost Liam Delap to injury.

Chelsea decide to end Jackson's loan.

On the evening of August 30 ( Hanoi time), Delap suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-0 win over Fulham in the third round of the Premier League. After the match, coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that the English striker will be out for 6 to 8 weeks.

Due to Delap's serious injury, according to The Athletic , Chelsea decided to keep Jackson instead of letting him go, in order to maintain depth in the attack. This decision affected the original plans of Chelsea and Bayern Munich, as the German team expected to have Jackson's service for the rest of the season.

Previously, Bayern and Chelsea reached an agreement for Jackson's loan, with a clause allowing the Bundesliga representative to buy the player at the end of the season. The deal is worth 15 million euros. Bayern will pay the full 80 million euros if they activate the buyout clause at the end of the season.

Last season, Jackson played 30 times in the Premier League, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists. However, the arrival of Delap and Joao Pedro caused the striker to be eliminated from the plan. Faced with that situation, Jackson quickly agreed to play football in Germany.

However, with the personnel changes in the attack, Jackson will continue to stick with "The Blues", at least until the January 2025 transfer window.
