Maximize potential and advantages
Da Huoai 2 Commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Ha Lam Commune and Da M'ri Town according to Resolution No. 1671/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated June 16, 2025 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Lam Dong province in 2025.
With the great efforts and determination of the entire political system, through many measures of close and drastic leadership and direction, in the past term, all 15 targets set by the congress resolution were achieved and exceeded. The commune's agricultural production has made great strides with the main crop being durian, covering an area of 3,419.1 hectares. By 2025, the average production value per hectare of agricultural land is estimated at 291 million VND/ha, the average income per capita is 103.5 million VND/person/year, and people's lives are improved...
Especially after the merger, Da Huoai 2 became the "capital" of Lam Dong durian, concentrating most of the area that has been granted and used the "Da Huoai durian" brand with outstanding productivity and quality. Currently, the agricultural production area, especially the durian growing area, is being expanded, gradually applying science, technology and forming linkage chains. At the same time, trade and services are also developing such as: forming a production chain, processing and consuming products associated with garden tourism.
From there, the budget revenue reached 157.3 billion VND, of which taxes and fees were estimated at 70.3 billion VND. The whole commune has been granted 27 durian growing area codes with an area of 1,217 hectares; durian production according to VietGAP standards has been maintained with an area of over 1,000 hectares/400 participating households; building and improving the efficiency of 3 linkage chains. In the commune, there are 6 cooperatives, with 213 members. The average production value per hectare of agricultural land is estimated at 291 million VND/ha, the average income per capita is 103.5 million VND/person/year. Notably, from the efficiency of durian production, Da Huoai 2 commune has established the Billionaire Farmers Club with 98 members.
According to comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao - Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Huoai 2 commune, in addition to economic achievements, in the 2020 - 2025 term, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system has achieved many outstanding results, national defense and security have been ensured, and social order and safety have been maintained. The work of propagating, disseminating and implementing the Party's policies and resolutions has been promoted. Party committees from the commune to the Party cells directly under the Party Committee have strictly implemented the Party's principles, regulations and working regulations. The study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, and regulations on setting examples have become routine and practical. Government activities have had many innovations; administrative reform has been directed with attention, and digital transformation has had many positive changes.
Continue to develop agriculture and forestry as the focus and pillar
In the coming period, Da Huoai 2 commune has determined that it is necessary to restructure the economy and establish a new growth model. In which, agricultural development is the focus, developing trade - services - tourism and supporting industries for agriculture. Focus on consolidating agriculture towards large-scale commodity production, continuing to expand raw material areas, expanding high-tech agricultural production areas. High-quality agricultural production is guaranteed according to standards for official export, biological production, safety, modernity, towards organic agricultural production, protecting the ecological environment and adapting to climate change.
At the same time, the locality continues to promote industrialization and modernization, taking science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the main driving force. Focus on improving the investment and business environment, promoting creative startups, developing industries, fields and enterprises on the basis of strongly applying achievements of science and technology. Develop products with competitive advantages, high-tech products, high added value, environmentally friendly, effectively participating in the production process and value chain.
To realize this goal, the commune focuses on applying science and technology in production. Da Huoai 2 commune strives to achieve a production value of 430 - 450 million VND/ha per unit of agricultural land by 2030. Along with that, it is necessary to maintain the operation of cooperatives and agricultural cooperative groups to operate effectively, mobilize farmers to grow according to VietGAP standards, have their planting area codes determined, meet the conditions, and ensure the quality of official exports to foreign markets. Continue to consolidate and expand the concentrated production area of high-tech durian. Review the Phuoc Loc and Dam Ri areas to supplement and recruit more members to join the Billionaire Farmers Club, thereby promoting the role of the club in local activities.
The locality also assigned the units to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations of the Forestry Law, strengthen forest protection management, forest fire prevention and fighting in the commune. Strengthen the protection and care of existing forests; encourage and strengthen measures to prevent deforestation, encroachment on forest land, illegal exploitation, transportation and trading of forest products. Strengthen the management of forest planting by enterprises receiving management in the area, forest owners and forest planting among the people. Implement tree planting and care for scattered trees in public places and traffic routes to increase forest cover to over 72%...
